Agreed Robeenio but perhaps Gadget would like to stop commenting on a game he has clearly stated he is not going too as he is playing the smaller less well attended event of BoB and his own blog site does nothing but support Shoreline.....i think that is called trolling.

Good point Robeenio, I think everyone agrees that initiatives like this can only be good for the game. It'll be interesting to discover where the tanks will be used - can't imagine they'll be rumbling around the playing zone......squished players would be a nightmare to peel off of the tracks.

We also have TWO tanks for use IN BOTH the INVASION UK scenario game on Saturday 5th May ANDNorth V South VIGILANTE on Sun 6th May !!! For the first time EVER at a UK Big Game you will go into battle with armoured backup !

This initiative has taken a LONG time to put together. The costs involved in moving/running these vehicle is HUGE and the Health & Safety implications are significant! Squashed players would indeed be a nightmare to peel off the tracks which is why we have had several on-site meetings with the MOD to agree SOPs for the use of the vehicles, including how they will supervised and controlled, and how they will mix with players - They WILL be in use and play a part in both games at North V South !

I have to say Mr Jack that throughout this thread I feel that you are the one spoiling for a fight regarding your dislike of Shoreline and the events it puts on. Gadget replied to your post maturely and respectfully and was not putting forward an agenda of any kind. This has popped up in another thread with another person insuiniating the same thing that you have posted about and it was answered quite correctly also.

So I say that this is a public forum and if you post something people have every right to repsond back with their thoughts or information. The North V South game is frankly a fantastic event as are many others in the UK and if I could fly back in from Oz I would. The Warped team have done a great job every year and lets hope the South win!

That sounds awesome - can't imagine how terrifying it would be to walk round a corner and come face to face with a tank........poopy pants time!

My first Big Game and by all accounts the best the UK has to offer by far.

How much will the tank rides be, though the slight chance of being able to drive one dosen't really inspire me to return to this event. It used to be my favourite game but too many things put me off last time i went.
