Hey Gyro, your inability to understand the Russian Legion phenomenon is exactly the point I am making.
Resources alone shouldn't make that much difference but Sergei has aligned that resource stream with intelligence.

Whereas your guys can cherry pick talent with the nurturing to a certain extent, having already been done and refinement being the only job left for the Yanks to do.
The Americans are then by default, led into a somewhat false sense of security when it comes to training and skill development, after all, they are wining everything at the moment so why try to fix something that ain't broke ?
Now I am not in any way implying the Yanks ain't got no brains when it comes to paintball, its just that they haven't had to flex them much yet whereas us Euros are forced to if we have any serious aspirations for the top.
It's basically evolution unfolding along traditional lines but this time in paintball.

On the other hand, the Russkies have proved that intelligent training can overhaul the vast disparity between talent pools and get their team to the very top.

Us Brits can fit somewhere in the middle of that maelstrom with a bigger talent pool than the Russians (obviously still nowhere near the Yanks) coupled with a sophisticated training programme.

Theoretically, the door is still open for us, practically ?
We'll have to wait and see.
