Ok, well they're obviously not concerned about the sides - how about those of use who have clear hoppers put one big BLACK sticker on the top?

Nope. Just saying NPPL rules specify you can't wear any color that is used for paint fills--with a few exceptions including the TonTons.

I spoke to Zack Long last night (Bob's son) and he says that they have heard nothing about that and that most of the guys have clear hoppers anyway. The advantage theses big boys have is if they are sponsored by the various hopper manufacturers then they get them replaced FOC.
