Hey I see paintball as a hobby, but I'm still going. If the event had been held at any other time the perhaps I would have had to reconsider going, but the good thing is that its right before Joymasters and thus is an ideal warm up for this event.
As a team we know that we require a serious training program but lacking other big teams around us we find it hard to put this into effect. Sure we have offers from other teams but being in the middle of nowhere, means we have to travel and this is an organisational nightmare due to our squad coming from all over the place, and when we get there are we sure we would actually learn anything.
The great thing about this event is that we are sure to actually pick something up from it and then as its fresh in our minds, utilise what we have learnt over in Stockholm. Hopefully we will pull a result out of the bag over there and as everybody knows results gets a team recognised and as a knock on affect brings in sponsers.
Okay that may sound conceited but isn't that what everybody aims for? More sponsers means less money you have to fork out from your pocket and that means that you can afford to play more.
Another good thing is that if British teams who attend this event then go away and start placing at international events, it will show then dang sceptics that we are a paintballing nation to be reaconed with.
