Well..apparently its best to sweetspot the reg...the output fron my MaxFlow is just under 600psi going into the Black Magic reg...i think 325 is the approximate working preassure.

To sweet spot...forget about adjusting the velocity via the rex kit for the moment.

Supply enough air to the Black magic..600 as suggested...
Gradually winf up the Blsck magic till the marker cocks and fires correctly...then, shooting over a chrono...wind the preassure up gradually, until the velocity stops going up, then wind it back down until it goes down..then fine tune, till any increase or decrease reduces the velocity and leav it there...then chrono as normal with the rex..
At least thats how i think its done..if not take advice from the pro's.

Your input pressure should be set at 550, and the black magic reg is factory set at 350, the reason why one is set higher than the other is that during high rates of fire an inbalance is needed as the input pressure will fall (as the boys at planet say they feed off each other!!)..... However, you can lower your input pressure to 400 and as long as you dont go nuts with the trigger it wont make a difference and will be more efficient.


Black delrin bolt eye settings, (if you want to test your eye, just go through the menu to eye... then show, with the bolt open it should be around 230, when you drop a light coloured ball in it should drop to aroun 009. This is because light refelcts off the light coloured ball. Your black bolt however is well..... black it absorbs light, so even in show mode the bolt open closed reading will only change by about 30. I've fiddled with my eye sensitivity, and cant really seen any difference (if your using bright paint) between 50-128, but thats just me.
