Thanks a lot guys :) I think I'll go just with the "fast" setting" for this weekend and see how it does. After getting used to the gun I'll tweak it more...I saved Skeet's great post so I'll follow all that settings later.

Quick questions:
Right my nexus e-blade came factory set at 200ish, and the same with my bro's. Should they be lowered at al

Also, what is the best pressure to set our regs at, cos we both got considerable amount of velocity deviation (+/- 7-10) when cronoing both guns. Any idea's

Cheers

Frontline, what air system are you running? +/- 7-10 isn't really that much IMHO. Especially if you don't have a perfect paint to barrel match.

Actually I found that My Nexus needed substantial running in to stop it jumping about (about a case and a half).

That said Benfrain's right that, you may want to check your Paint to Barrel match as allthough Bling the .688 it comes with it is, try it with a consistent quality paint and barrel.

Once sorted, mine chronoed at about +/- 3 or 4, which if set to about 295 is OK. And if the chrono judge still insists that's a problem , just pull the Jedi Mind Trick.

Cheers dudes :)
The paint was of 0.688 size (Toroball-Classic). I think thats maybe what it just needs, to be broken in like a new car. Also, it doesnt help using 4 weeks old paint :D

As to the regs, me bruv uses an angel a.i.r system and i use a flatline (soon changing to a.i.r). I cant see the condition of the regs having anything to do with the fluctuation of velocity, but maybe the input pressure. Maybe the input from the main regs (not magic reg) needs turning up abit .
Other than that these things absolutely RIP! GET ONE!!

Cheers guys,
Darren :)

Thx, Nick

I haven't used a cocker since years. So what the heck is a QEV?

How do I tell if I have them or not? Is there any chance that some of Nexus guns have these and some don't?

QEV,s are new to cockers. All nexus siggy cockers come with them. They are the 2 silver (alluminium) tiny cubes on the underside of your ram. They simply allow for the ram to cycle quicker. Giving you a 50% cut down on cycle time.

Oh, QEV stands for Quick Exhaust Valve :)

I like to think that my post was an ever so slightly expanded version of Nicky T's!!
Obviously, the intention was to give you the info, so you can do what you like...also..as soon as you hit factory fast, as anytime...even if youve really f*cked the settings up..it will work fine again!!

QEV's are Quick Exhaust Valves...used in pairs..one goes on each end of the Ram...what they do, is relieve excess preassure from behind the ram on the back (closing) stroke and infornt of the ram on the forward (opening) stroke...this means that the Ram cam operate faster as its not trying to push against trapped air.

Look on the Planet site for a picture...they are little square things, will be under the ram, with a hose coming off each one going to the cocking solenoid.

FRONTLINE: 200 ish? is that the EYE setting or what the EYE shows as an open breech or when reading the bolt? Select EYE, SET and read that reading....as far as I know (from Nicky T) they set their's at 128. (sensitivity)

TOROBALL...I was sold a really **** box of Torroball Classic..was dimpled and faded across the ball..mucho unimpressed, wont be shooting it again and won't be buying paint from that outlet again, they dont know how to store paint!

Na sensors all cool :)
Didnt realise that the sensor would change reading when a ball is in the breach

Though one last thing what is the best pressure to set my angel reg at

Cheers,
Darren
