erm since when was a boston / aberdeen comparison brought up?

Im guessing its cause i stay in the states near there, if so - no we dont expect anywhere near those numbers lol although it would be nice, but we have used a couple of local fields as a kind of template, as one would.

So fingers crossed it all works out. Its not just going to be a tourney place, it wont be reliant on walk ons etc but also business clients to help sustain it.

ABERDEEN Brrrrrrr.....
Update : We are currently buying stock and equipment to run the field, and are planning some social events with a few local businesses to help get the balls flying (Pun intended). Location is not finallised yet, however, it is still in the works.

As mentioned above, we know this is not Boston, and are aware that it is infact Aberdeen - but full marks for pointing that out! well done.

There are many businesses that get by in smaller towns, some of which actually thrive. We hope to make Paintball more accessible, not to make huge amounts of money...and that will not change.

Futher updates to come......

Check Whitey's post Kitty.

And Tim ,what I was pointing out through the medium of sarcasm is that this has been tried before and I personally believe you are not taking in the realities of paintball North of Manchester.

However you sound like you have the conviction and again, I genuinely hope you succeed, however, expect nothing more than empty promises on here.

There you go ,that's my negativity over ,you can now get back to the many "great idea ,we'll be there posts" and others skirting round the fact that they really want to say what I just have but decided that polite hints were a better option .

I will watch this space with interest ,unfortunately not for the next couple of days as I'm off to work in Stornoway ,helping them with the lighting specs on their design for a Formula 1 track.

Like said before - the income will not rely on tournement players but rely on business customers and rental clients to allow us to have a field for local teams to practice. Yes aberdeen is not the most glamourous or most ideal location for such a site but these things have been taken into account.
It will be fun regardless and will hopfully encourage more people into the sport - which is the main aim of the site
