I have a choice of a four sites at the moment, in varying sizes, which is why I need some feedback on numbers. Don't want to go too small or too big. The buildings that we have as an option are all in Bridge of Don - 2 minutes from Town, with easy bus access almost to the door - and plenty of parking for those who drive.
Name hasn't been decided yet, but I would guess it may relate to Paintball and Aberdeen in some way ? I would like the locals to have some input into this, as it will effectively become theirs.
It will be normal paint aswell as Reballs for those who wish to use them - as you don't want to be blowing tons of paint at training if you don't have to.
For those who are concerned about concrete - don't be, we plan on turfing the field from the start.
I really don't want to be supplying markers due to the extra licencing/storage etc.. But I will look at consumables. We won't be going out to undercut anyone on paint either - that would be counter productive for the sport - but we will match anything comparable out there. Teams associated with the field will obviously have privilages on this though.
Control of this venture will not be soley on my shoulders, as I have a fair amount of work to do in my day job, and that is why it is nessesary to involve, and give back to, the players.
Our intention is to also run public events in time, and again, any money made will go towards team kit - in return we hope to have some volenteer refs!
As for a website/ contacts, that will be confirmed later next month.
Thanks for the support!
