ABERDEEN Brrrrrrr.....
I have a choice of a four sites at the moment, in varying sizes, which is why I need some feedback on numbers. Don't want to go too small or too big. The buildings that we have as an option are all in Bridge of Don - 2 minutes from Town, with easy bus access almost to the door - and plenty of parking for those who drive.

Name hasn't been decided yet, but I would guess it may relate to Paintball and Aberdeen in some way ? I would like the locals to have some input into this, as it will effectively become theirs.

It will be normal paint aswell as Reballs for those who wish to use them - as you don't want to be blowing tons of paint at training if you don't have to.

For those who are concerned about concrete - don't be, we plan on turfing the field from the start.

I really don't want to be supplying markers due to the extra licencing/storage etc.. But I will look at consumables. We won't be going out to undercut anyone on paint either - that would be counter productive for the sport - but we will match anything comparable out there. Teams associated with the field will obviously have privilages on this though.

Control of this venture will not be soley on my shoulders, as I have a fair amount of work to do in my day job, and that is why it is nessesary to involve, and give back to, the players.

Our intention is to also run public events in time, and again, any money made will go towards team kit - in return we hope to have some volenteer refs!

As for a website/ contacts, that will be confirmed later next month.

Thanks for the support!

It willl be a mix senior bob. most emphasis on live paint though.

take monster paintball in boston as an example. (ask Kitty)

Its a 3/4 size npple feild and a 2/3 v2/3 reball centre and a snap cage, we would be looking for something like this.

Ideally we would want to make, a
decent set up area,
turfed feild..(or something that beats concrete anyway as yet to be decided)
a feild big enough for 5v5
and a reball bit good enough for 2 on 2 drills.
a toilet!!! of the non portable variety

thats what we are aiming for, but thats the minimum we are aiming for.

both tim, kat and myself belive aberdeen is the ideal place due to the long winters and fubar weather..

the clincher is...what is a warehouse going to cost to rent? we will keep you posted.

Average number of Super Air using paintballers in Boston in direct comparison to Aberdeen anyone ?...

Good luck ,sounds a little hopefull to say the least but I genuinely wish you all the best.

Just a couple of things ,I hope your client base isn't going to leave you when they finish there degrees, and god forbid the Uni's Dungeons and Dragon's society ever needs to save up for it's next convention.

People seem to constantly promise they will utilise a facility like this and when it realisticly comes down to it they are all full of **** and just like being part of the hype.

Prove me wrong I sincerely hope you can.
