need to get hold of Tank for an exit
One REAL stoopid thing I have been a part of (wait, it does get better for me, I wasn't that involved :D ):

After about, oh, two minutes, there are all five of my team stood in the dead-zone. The other team (who had, I believe four players remaining) hung the flag with under a minute to go.

The game time was either 6 or 8 minutes (can't remember that much detail), and during the 3/4 minutes the other team was playing against thin air, not one empty bunker was mugged!

=========

Then again there was the time I had my bolt in my cocker up-side down, but that's another story (and not really my fault - honest ;) )

A Marvel To Watch!!!
It was a game against the Stupid Troopers in one of the Series 2001 tourneys at Skirmish Notts last year. It was a centre flag grab game in the woods. Our front right tape player Paul "The Knob" Boulton took out the two remaing troopers and grabbed the flag and made a dash for it to win the game. The trouble is he ran the flag back into him own base instead of the oppositions handing the game to the troopers.

The C@{K !!!!!

A Marvel To Watch!!!
Sorry we all have horror stories. Mine was last Sunday at the Skirmish Tourney. I was playing back centre on the hyperball field. I noticed an oppitunity and made a move up the field. Now because the stand-uppie had plenty of paint on it, in came a marshall to clean me up, as I carried on firing he then moved my gun to clean the splatter off the on off tap and **** ! I nailed him on the leg from point blank range. It must of come pretty keen as it dropped him like a sack of S*@T!!!. Luckily he survived the injury with a few swear words. So Im saying to the Dam Dangerous marshall I am really sorry m8. I think he has my card marked for next time.

Soz really. It was an accident.

The chrony judge on the diablo field at the indoor got floored by one of my teammates who was borrowing my marker.

He's just been chronied, fine, as he's stepping behind the judge, not wishing to engage an electronic safety (he wasn't sure if it was allowed in the rules or not) as he was putting the barrel condom back on, he (being used to a standard loooooong heavy inferno trigger pull) brushed my trigger, putting a shot into the judges back (somewhere near his kidneys I think) from around 6 inches).

As I was spare player for that game I arrived with the spare marker just after this happened, to see the judge laid out on the floor under the chrony table.

His (and my) apologies still go to that judge.......

:)

You could've also mentioned Flash that after he shot the Chrono-Judge point-blank he also managed to fire it accidentally twice more into the ground!

One story that happened to me is when two seconds before the Break my team-mate shot me point blank in the leg. I just managed to get it wiped off before "Game-On" and began the game frantically hopping to my Break-Bunker whilst resisting the urge to light my mate up like a christmas tree :D

I can't remember who it was (Flash maybe you can help me out here...) but at Campaign last year one of my team was behind his bunker. Fine you may say, however a marshal comes in to check him (can't remember if he was called neutral or not) and whilst checking him or after he had been checked, the marshall somehow knocked him out of his bunker. At which point he got lit up. Judge wouldn't put him back in even though it was his fault that he got shot.

If my memory serves slighlty correctly (doubtful) I fink you are maybe getting two stories mixed up Charlie.

1: Player bugging back, marshal steps onto the field in-front of him, forcing him to swerve and step off the field - result? elimination.

2: Player informs marshal he is going to do a dead mans walk. Marshal says "ok". player starts walking. Two steps outside bunker marshal grabs player, stops him, checks him in full view of other team, then signals very clearly that player is clean. While player was being checked (and was neutral) was shot three times, marshal calls player out.

You going to the 7's on the 10th?

Nah I'm pretty sure that something like I described happened to Tom. Could have been another tourney but I thought it was Campaign on one of the synthetic pitches. Ah well.

Especially if you are playing (for example) at the safe zone end of the field at Temple, which hypothetically would result in cries of "Puntaaaaaaaaaaaaa" from all watching.

Wouldn't that be embarrasing Flash?

Yes Flash, it was!
