Broz, as a Junior Executive Auxiliary Fun Police Trainee (JEAFPT), I am shocked that you haven't been meeting your quotas for "report to moderators" useage. You're going to have to do better if you want to get you taser.
Let me preface my comments nym saying that I deplore Smart Parts' litiginous adventures, think that prior to this year their guns were inferior with stock specifications, and the sense of style they have exhibited has been poor over the years.
I shot a Nerve last weekend. It actually looked pretty nice. The milling was swoopy and voluptuous, and there weren't any of those nasty machine marks, so someone polished this sucker. I liked the trigger feel, but that is almost beside the point. If you have two fingers, you can get it to go crazy with that ramping board. You may or may not need a thumb.
This is another gun that works like an Angel, Impulse, Bushmaster, Viking, whatever. I think it is a nice example of type, but it isn't as novel as the Matrix was. I think SP had to put in a ramping board so that there would be a performance advantage of some kind to justify the hype and the wait. If this had come out at the end of last year, with just the standard programing that most guns have, it would have done pretty well, I think, as a competitor (subject to price). As it is, too long to wait, IMO. Many had higher and higher hopes as the wait stretched on, but this is simply another paintball gun, the most unusual thing about which is that it is open about cheating.
BTW, after shooting this, I am inclined to believe that there are not as many cheating (ramping) guns out there as people seem to think. It sounds so different, you couldn't mistake this.
