I just cannot believe what I have just read £20 for 9 hours work. Lads you have to tell this "boss" to put his job where the sun does NOT shine from!!!

My advice is to try to get some other form of "pocket money". I am sure that there are places around that offer this level of wage for much less hours.

Try finding a car boot site and see if they need any staff, find anything but £20 for 9 hours work however easy it is should never ever be allowed.

Just out of interest what do sites pay marshalls these days. I have heard of a site in Herts paying £70 for the day, some offer boxes of paint. This place in Herts even offers staff kit at TRADE prices!!

So if anyone would post their wages for a day at a paintball site it will be interesting to see the variations. Sites do not have to be named - your choice.

I would love to wave the boss goodbye, but thats the whole point of this thread. Theres no way i could play paintball without the measly £20 a week i get, so i cant:(

£35 a day (typically 8am- 6pm .. ish) Occasional bonus if it's a busy day, work your ass off or do a good job.

Large site, typically dealing with weekend numbers in the hundreds. Most i remeber was about 1000 in one weekend. 600 ish on the Saturday and about 400 on the sunday. But that was a couple of years ago...

Although 'proper' work commitments have led me to not be able to marshal that often. But when I do it's not for the money by any strech of the imagination.

£35 sobs !!! JHC. Just out of curisoity what ratio is there on these site? I believe for H&S issues the max should be 15 customers to 1 marshall.

Any comments out there?

Typically the site sticks to 15 players per marshal out on games. Although i remeber quite vividly having 500/600 players through on a saturday they weren't all at once. Some morning games, some afternoon and some all day. This requires ****-hot marhsaling and pretty incredible logistics/management to get things (and guns) running smoothly.

By the way these v large figures of player numbers were back in 03 or there abouts, nowhere near as busy as we used to be. I'm not sure how many people they're doing per-day now but i don't think 200+ is out of the ordinary. Every other site i've been to seems tin-pot and disorganised in comparison.
