For what its worth i think that the UK could field a pretty decent team; especially if they consider the depth of talent amongst the likes of Disruption (any of Dicky/Pikey/Bathy would get my vote), the Firm (Stoney) and the younger generation of players such as Little Rob from the Lucky 15s and Martin Cheung (unsure of who he plays for now).

As always with these things, time is of the essence and i'm sure that Twizz and Spike will already have their sights sets on certain players. IMHO, Clint and Jason from Nexus are obvious choices; both of whom are level headed on and off the field. There are no doubt others in Shock, Tigers, Entity etc who would warrant looking at but i'm a little out of touch with the UK scene to know who's on form at the moment.

Best of luck to anyone who is picked; it'll be an experience for sure.

Euh, I can't imagine the federation doing trials with every single player being British.
I'm not stupid mate and never suggested that every player should have been given a shot and up till now the federations name hadn't even been bought up  just a question as to how the team was picked out of curiosity which jay cleared up nicely

Not sure who Twizz and Spike selected. But Twizz is around for years, and know most players from top teams. Great choice for a coach.

Oh and wipe your nose you have got something brown on it ! ;) and again not once did i say anything about twizz i think he is a good choice

I wasn't implying you said anything about Twizz; this was part of my words about the overall team.
I don't think there is much brown on my nose. I'm not really famous for this, more for openly criticising. :D But When you like a fact, it's good to say it too ! :)

I think Twizz is the man for the job bearing in mind his proximity to seeing a lot of guys play at the weekends at Yorkie's and also across the tournaments we have now.

I just wish the MS had gotten their act together to give Twizzz enough time to sort all this sh!t out because you can bet your ass some of the other teams are gonna come out all guns blazing.
Spike knows enough to give Twizz a good right hand man and so all that's left is team selection. How best to go about that is kinda rushed to say the least and all we can do is wish them luck.

If only the Millennium guys could have made this event mean something instead of just throwing it out there and leaving it to people who have the ability and commitment but they aren't being given enough time .. it makes a mockery of it all when it could have been made to be something special and not just a throw-together event.
Good luck to all concerned !!!

PS Twizz, I'd get Nicky T involved if I were you, his help would prove invaluable.

Not that i ever would have gone as there are alot of amazing players here in the UK but were there even any trials held for this or is it picked on who knows who ??? as i had never seen this advertised or promoted anywhere
It was only two weeks ago that most of us heard about the event. So anything other than picking by reputation wasn't possible especially as most of the players will have had their own team training to attend. Although it may be disorganised, there are some good players in the uk and the ones picked will do their best to represent the country as it's not often you get to say you've done that!

Sadly, no Campaign Cup for me this year as it clashes with the Beretta World shooting competition. If i was going to be there i'd gladly offer my assistance to Twizz and Spike.

That is a certain loss not having you helping out, you would have proved invaluable mate but hey, good luck anyway Nicky.

And just one more thing guys .... I've just got off the phone from Ledzy and we discussed this situation with this event and something he said began to ring my alarm bells .. he told me one of the French guys he knows was telling him [Ledz] how they [the Frogs] had been holding their trials to select their international team for this event ....

...I have to admit to being slightly surprised at just how the French guys had been able to do that bearing in mind how long Twizz and Spike have been aware ... Ledz told me that the French had been told about this event over 6 weeks ago, yep, you heard right, '6 weeks ago' !!!! ......... I'll let you lot ponder the significance of that; I for one would feel somewhat aggrieved for Twizz in having considerably less time to put our team together to go up against guys who have been given a lot more time to prepare.
It's like giving Twizz a poisoned chalice ... it's hard enough anyway trying to do well in these type events but when you've been fuhkkd like that, he's got an even harder job.

I got a pretty good idea where the problem for this lays but I'll let it roll along for the time being before saying anything.
It's all well and good having these type events but if we are gonna have them, it would be nice if we could all have the same amount of prep time .... it's only fair isn't it?
