Great set of posts Bryso - reminded me of my own enthusiasm when I first got into the game. I think you've made some smart purchases and would advise you to play for another 3-6 months before you get anything else. Like most hobbies, paintball can become all-consuming if you don't maintain a healthy balance of field-time vs shopping. The most fun you can have is doing exactly what you're doing now - Buy some gear and play for a while. You won't be out-gunned with the equipment you have at a recreational level, so have at 'er.
Would love to see you keep posting as your experience continues. I want to try to spot the exact time you turn into a 'gun-whore' like most people on here.

I intend too , I want to see what mistakes I may make, will my tastes change, will I buy lots of markers lol. Fingers crossed this thread may help some others 2. When I attended the walkon I found I got more enjoyment when I was handed electronic markers, compared to the rentals. Hence my purchase , I agree its time to start playing and stop spending

those £35 tanks are excellent value, most sites only do 3,000 fills anyway.

Money is an issue lol, I don't see the point spending a fortune on carbon fibre, not until I'm playing more regularly anyway

Honestly unless your in serious competition I don't see the point of a carbon tank over a cheap steel one, sure they're a bit lighter but I remember a 40 oz co2 bottle on a shoebox shocker, any modern gun, even with a steel tank shouldn't strain your arm. Little tip, between games carry it in your off hand, saves your good arm getting too tired.

OK, im addicted to buying stuff for paintball , last night I was on ebay and found some lazer eyes for my mini, which i purchased as an impulse buy, just because it was only £20. however on a plus note ive learn to break my gun down, gave it a good clean etc and learned how to work the board, turn the eyes off etc ive also adjusted the trigger etc and i think ive set it up the way i want it, however I wont be sure until i actually get to fire the thing.

there are no lasers involved in laser eyes by the way. Its purely cosmetic, and only something you will see.

be careful about adjusting the trigger. Setting it up too fine sometimes makes it not work (applies to all guns). Just make sure there is a little play/travel before and after actuation point and you should be fine.

Ohh man, but it will look good. , yeah I had adjusted the trigger to much and the red light on the board that comes on when you press the trigger was constantly on, opps, it seems good now though, a little play in the trigger little flickers on and off and solenoid clicks away. Marker is nice and clean, should I crease up the bolt?

No, putting a crease in it will impare performance!

But you could put a little lube on any orings or rubber or springs that are the moving parts

yep grease up the lot. One rule i have figured out is if it aint broke dont fiddle with it. these guns like to mess about if you fiddle too much. and good choice on the mini. I loved mine and have an axe now. you should certainly look around the forum if you have any questions

Should a little lube not go on the bolt where it joins to the other bit ?

the other bit? It shouldnt join with anything. It slides onto the bolt guide. No only lube lightly the bolt guide orings, the bolt orings, you can put a little on the rubber bolt tip oring if you want, and put a little on the spring.

As for maintenance you can just wipe off the old lube after playing, and apply new as above.
