I have no problem playing on sand, however I do have a problem with sand ruining my equipment. Thats my only worry, for all I care we can play in the sea as long as my marker was waterproof lol

EDIT

Does anyone know where the last Malaga event was held...as in exact location/name of the beach? And is it being held in the same spot this year?

For me its pretty much a principle issue. If they raise the entry fee because they promise turf. Then they better have turf at all of the events..

I dont mind playing on grass(unless i pay extra to have turf..), but sand/gravel is never acceptable imo.

I've never seen that promise or that reason given for a price increase myself, but understand where you're coming from if it was made.

This reason was given in the Ms board 2007 owners meeting in Roissy Charles de Gaulle (Paris): turf, scoreboard and great ref !!

In SPL, the scoreboard was a joke !
Turf : do you call that **** a turf ?
great ref : "one for one" : the key to be a good ref ;(

From my experience last year:
1. The refs were very good, yes some calls were bad but that happens in any sport. I was once called out on an imaginary hit which sucked but you don't hear me moaning
2. Although the turf was not on every field last year, I had no trouble playing on grass. Take sports like tennis, the players have to adapt to different surfaces to play on, the fact is its the same in paintball, whether it be turf, grass or whatever they throw at you.
3. Scoreboard...the only problem i saw with that was that the M was in the way if you were sitting in the middle...big deal.

Okay im finished ranting!!!

EDIT

Does anyone know the exact location of the beach?
