I'm told.....
....that because a deal for collaboration has not yet been struck, and for the sake of teams and sponsors to have advance notice, the NPPL will move forward with only their 5 stateside events this year.
For next year, NPPL plans to have 7 or more "worldwide" events - with or without the aid of the MS promoters.
This information is from official source.
Just thought you should all know, so that any possibility of qualifying for NPPL Pro through European events, seem to be gone, and teams now have to make a choice between going for 5 stateside NPPL events, or the 5 MS events to qualify for Pro in 2006 (except ofcourse for those who have the budget to do both).
NPPL and MS may STILL do something about points counting both places ofcourse, which would change what I say above a bit, but it would surprise me if the NPPL wanted to do that, as they stand to gain very little, while the MS would gain a lot (few teams would go to the US to get MS points, while many US teams might do the reverse).
At any rate - there will be no NPPL events in Europe in 2005.
