Anyway, the straps on the new JT faceplates are easy to take off, it's just a rivet through the vent hole that was already there on the Flex 7 versions.
So take out the rivet and it's not modifying the mask cos it's then a flex 7 faceplate.
good point, so if the straps are cut they will pull you, if you remove the rivets then it's a simple flex7 faceplate.....works for me ;)

I'm pretty sure lovetone is taking about cutom shells made by stinger, so he can't remove the logos as they are painted into the shell.
OH, Fair enough but i think he may still have problems regardless due to the marking on the top. Some marshalls on a bad day may be anal and pull it before entering the field.

In Madrid we had to remove the little blue sticker from the speed feeds which is on the back and i know people who have had to remove the add on stickers to the on/off plates due to sun baked marshalls:D

It looks like you wear a Flex 7 , ive seen so many people wear cut down ear protection in CPL/DIV1-3 ranks, i have used one a couple of times but always have my spare flex 8 with me just incase the ref gets arsey, i cut my chin straps off cus the old flex 7s didnt have them so even if a Ref sez "wheres your chin strap?" (which i have never been asked before) you can say its an old flex 7, you can buy new JT ear protection which is already cut down by JT so it isnt classed as a mod but an accessory, but you can make one your self out of your old ear protection just borrow the new ear protection off someone and use it as a template and cut away thats what i have done, i wudnt cut the face plate gator glaze style tho, and stickers on goggles are a no, no, "cus they enforce paintballs to bounce  ", its against the rules to wear metal spikes on footwear but refs never check, but best to bring spare pair of legal footwear just incase.

How about people read the rules regarding that kind of stuff and actually don't try and take "illegal" guns onto the field. ;)

As for CPL, I'll try and explain, things are in no way different there rules-wise, but the difference is that there is no chrono procedure for the CPL, therefore making it harder to check that kind of stuff.

And during the actual game it gets hard to check that kind of stuff (Mask/Guns) as the players leave the field right after they're shot and come on the field, 10-20 seconds before the point starts, so we can't really interfere with them at that point.

There is absolutely no favoritsm for CPL players, the rules are the same for everyone. Get over your dramatizing. :)

So there, I hope this awnsers your question.

Favortism or not...CPL players still get away with things lower Div teams wouldn't. :D

If you mean that they get to play sometimes with extra stickers on goggles/guns that wouldn't otherwise be allowed. Then yes that happens sometimes because of all the reasons that I have stated above.

But if you mean being allowed to play on with hits and such as someone was suggesting before, let me start off by saying that that is utter BS, pure and simple.

Marshalls are human, and as humans they are, they sometimes fail to see hits on players and make mistakes like not assessing the supposed penalty of a 1 for 1 for playing on, it happens. And I KNOW that it doesn't happen just on the CPL field, so to awnser your question again, CPL players get no "special treatment" of any form.

:)

And still on the point of stickers on gun/mask, and as lame and hardass the marshalls seem like when they ask you to remove stickers and such. They are merely correcting a situation that you brought upon yourself, it is written clearly in the rules what stickers you can have and how many and where you can have them, I think everyone on the MS knows or should know how to read, so what's your excuse?
Next time just follow the rules and everything will be much easier, instead of knowingly trying to break them and then get pissed off because you got caught.

Why not just make things simple?

Why not just require all players to show up ready to play? With guns totally adjusted correctly? Without orange or stickers on goggles? Without metal cleats? That walking on-field means your clothing and equipment comply with the rules? And that if you don't comply you simply don't play or risk getting pulled if caught?

Most of the rules about these things are pretty clear and have been around for quite a while.

Then things would run so much smoother and turn-around time between games would be cut quite a bit.
