it comes to the point where you are playing with your mates or you are playing to be the best player and team you can be,
the teams that have worked to get into the spl are about getting as far as they can, I would rather be benched on the team that won then play all the games on the team that got destroyed all event.

we have a strong team and have to fight for our spots, this has started to make the team improve compared to when we had just enough players and people were assured of spots.
if you are arent good enough to be picked what makes you think you should go onto the field for fair game time and waste all the teams money and hold the team back.

spl format would be good through out the divisions, multi point format is more likely to have the best team win
thats very true, but remember that the people who are playing with mates are the majority. without them events would cease to be......

how many british teams enter campaign compared to the rest of the events? this is also true for teams from france at the Toulouse and Paris events, and german teams at their home events. I wonder how many of those "local" teams are playing with mates?

most of these teams would not play div 1, and if they did wouldnt get promoted so wouldnt go from 7 to 5 man (though multi point is slightly different)
those that played one event last year probably arent structured or organised enough to be effected by a change in format this year.

though div1 isn't locked. anyone can enter it and probably will to have a go at SPL style.

or we could end up seeing 200 div 2 teams at each event!!!

Lock div 1 off, for the more serious teams who wish to play out the full season, keep div 2 open, but it'll be like this years div 1, with teams turning up for single events, but still containing lots of teams playing the full season; leaving 3 with some teams playing the full season, but more teams playing one or two events.

Did that make sense? :)

M7 format X-ball lite all around, barring M5

lock div one at the biginning of 2008 you will keep the 30 or so teams playing it, like SPL. you always get your games.

And the Millennium doesn't lose money

only the strong survive simple as that. fighting for places on a squad raises everyones game, healthy competition within a roster boosts individual and team performance. the weaker players know they need to push on to get a game and the stronger players need to keep thier spots. every team ive ever played on has always fielded the strongest players and sat the weaker players. wouldnt have it any other way.

to be the best you gotta beat the best, i wouldnt fly all over europe to put out a sub standard squad just so "everyone gets a game"
