but do you really think that Bitburg is a place to promote the sport? In a venue you need to go specifically to watch it?

i meant for location of hotels to site, prices, atmosphere etc.
playerwise every team were within 100metres of each other where normally there scatered everywhere.

spectatorwise germany was great with seating all around and paris too.....famillies walking around disney would think about checking it out and seeing what its like. not saying they would suddenly start playing but if they told someone who told someone....

bitburg is ideal all round due to it being a stadium but not inclosed like c'palace
Bitburg Ideal?

Its like putting Campaign on in Worksop

I'm with Jorge - I have nothing against the Tournament per se - when I attended there it was extremely well run with lovely surface, BUT its just not getting ball to the masses!!

As for the point about all paintballers together - my God, thats what I always dread, give me a hotel with my team mates and no chance of the idiot fringe around and masses of 'war story' ballers. Miles away from the paintball masses is far better.

Sometimes the last thing you want to do after years of paintball is see MORE paintballers.

fair point by all...... not into weiners though but if that floats your boat.

see what your saying about promoting this sport to the world but were not promoting it as a social friendly sport to join to the new people. we at present coming from your comments need to represent this sport on and off the field... if your adored by thousands of up and coming kids and one comes up to you in your hotel and comments on a move you made today are you going to shoot him down in flames for talking to you??

there the best set ups for what we have available for the moment
and i like the fact i didnt need to drive from hotel to events or get ripped by taxi drivers as a lot of teams did in madrid for example

Word!!! Those f-ing Madrilenyo taxis :)!!!

I have got to say Bitburg is one of my favourite events. Its a pain in the ass to get to but once you're there its awesome.

The playing surface is as good as it gets. The hotels are a 2 minute walk from the fields. Great bleachers so you can enjoy the finals sitting down. Great organisation. And the Coyote Bar in town kicks ass.

An event for the paintballers rather than for the spectators and thats fine with me. Its not in Germany that you're going to get paintball to the masses. You're more likely to get it banned. And we've got Eurodisney where we can all pay triple for hotel rooms and food so that a couple of the people walking around there can be introduced to the sport.
