I am trying to sort out something around the 23 March for 4 teams on a 08 field, with buzzer systems. I have had contact with 4 teams so far and will email/pm them directly soon.

I think none of the UK teams in div 1 Mill have big ego's they ALL deserve to be there.

I agree with what's said here, lower teams do benefit from scrimming against higher div teams. We would be happy to offer coaching sessions/scrims with lower div teams, as we have in the past to some teams, both onfield and at reball!

I would be happy to arrange some scrims against lower div teams, but I suspect many, if not all the UK div 1 team managers are concentrating on getting that crucial 1st Mill right.

Peace all.

2008, year of U.K. paintball!!

It was not a dig at div1 teams just some teams think they are better than they are and play in a div above their ability, and buying a spot does not mean a team deserves it.

The only two GB teams to buy a spot are Swarm and Hurricanes.
I can't speak for the Hurricanes, but the price of playing div one is high, with the spot cost and transfer. If I didn't think Swarm could play it, I wouldn't have shelled out the money.

When you look at it, that's a very promising list of teams. I've seen most of them play and they're all looking good. It'd be awesome to see them unite, as suggested in this thread.

Do any of these teams play a local series? Would it be a good idea for them to sack them in (cos, lets face it, the competition isn't high, as there are quite a few local tournies around which 'dilutes' the talented teams from each other) and just attend scrimmage days once, maybe twice a month? It would be cheaper, and so much more beneficial than playing against lower ranked teams, who probably aren't as ambitious as these teams.

I know people will say 'yeah but you need to get experience playing at competition'. But with these teams meeting it's bound to get competitive.

Can't speak for the other teams, but Hurricanes are great considering that they haven't been playing that long.
