Millennium Series Partner Events

In 2004 the Millennium Series will be expanded by the joining of several Partner events. These events will display the same quality as Millennium Major Events, the points awarded will count for 80% in the Overall Ranking.
These events as well as the points system will be revealed later before the start of the season.

No Ultimate Ref in 2004

Instead of one or more Ultimate refs for the whole event, we’ll have a Head Field Ref on each playing field. This will be someone who is employed by the Millennium Series.
This means :

- knowing the Millennium Series rules completely

- making decisions about games on the field in difficult situations

- having a good feeling of your responsibility

- evaluating the marshal crew on your field

- changing the set-up of marshals on your field if necessary

This huge responsibility is a great challenge, because you have to lead the field.

Guest passes

Guests are very welcome at each event. On the roster (liability waiver) there will be space for 3 guests (this includes coaches!!). They will have to pay ˆ10 for there card and their name has to be on the roster, along with contact information.

Field size

The field size will change to a new standard: 30 meters by 55 meters.

Amount of teams

In 2004 the number of teams per event is limited. This will give you an event which does not exceed our capacity, so it will ensure quality. The rule is: first come first served.

Staining paint

As for 2003 also for 2004 staining paint will not be allowed. Because of the use of staining paint we have trouble with going back to venues we’ve used. In order to be able to come back to the best places available, no staining paint!!

Do not Bring Your Own

Although the Millennium Series has been a Bring Your Own Event for a long time, considering the new rule on staining paint, we can no longer allow you to bring your own boxes in. All the Millennium Paint Sponsors are available to you at each event. Buy your paint there!

Rules 2004

The Millennium Series Rules will be revised for the new season. If you have any input you want to give us, mail at: adam@millennium-series.com.

Judging 2004

Next season you will be extra awarded for your skills in judging. The first, second and third best judging team will get cash money.

Our Head Field Refs will evaluate each team after the different events and they will also vote. The voting panel will exist of Head Field Refs, the Millennium Board and players.

Of course for marshalling your team will still receive 200 points, free hotel and food during the day.

If the game time is shortening i have an idea for a slight format change for every one to pick apart and tell me how foolish i am

Here goes instead of having a flag change the point structure so the max is based on seven kills. My reasoning behind this is in the vast majority of games all of the other team is eliminated before anyone touches the flag then it is normally just a boring stroll back with the flag which rarely serves any purpuse other than to delay the next game.

My idea goes something along these lines

2 points for every freindly player left alive at the end of the game
8 points per kill for the first six kills
48 points for the seventh kill.

or 8 points per kill and a forty point bonus for killing all 7 however you want to phrase it

Once all seven kills have occured to winning team is checked and it is game over no running a flag back.

If it goes down to a one on one there shpould be enogh marshalls on the field to cover each side of both players.

So lets hear the constructive critisicsm

just get rid of points for kills altogether.
If you get the flag, you win. if you don't it's a tie.
if you lose you get no points.
