oh yeah, another question...

How long before the NXL becomes a league of kids who arn't that good but get to play for free (plus the AA's)?

Will everyone keep going on about it like it is the 'she-at' when you don't recognise a single players name
Half way there, I don;t recognise most of the players as it is now, the rosters are changing.

Agreed, NPPL's have obviously got the momentum with team numbers, great to see >160 at Tampa when PSP seem to struggle to get over 100 total across all the different formats they insist on keeping. However the fact that some of the "names" are in there doesn't mean they are still the best names, XSV haven't had a great start by Ironman standard to this season. There is an element of the changing of the guard I think at the moment, with some of the established "names" finding it a bit harder than they might like against some young upstarts.

Did you hear that the Chicago PSP is going to be held at Rennick Millers Field again, like it was in the 'bad old days'. Is this totally acceptable to you NXL fans after last years superb Mayport venue? Does no-one else notice this stuff or what? And you punks are still hanging on every NXL word, are you completely brainwashed? Wake up and smell the coffee flavored excrement you are being fed. You are being played.

rant, rant, ramble, ramble, taunt, provoke, etc....
Personally I see that NPPL fly the flag for mass participation events, they get the 150+ teams, have the big hoohah and razmatazz. PSP end up dropping the stepchildren of X and going completely X and getting 40-70 teams at every tournament. PSP focus on this holy grail of TV, never quite getting there but never quite failing either.

As for caring about NXL, frankly I don't really, the league system means there is no immediate conclusion and yes its like a real sport blah blah, but as I have no reaon to support any of the teams, not like my soccer team I supported since I was a kid, then frankly I don't really care. The NPPL/Mills give murder mystery and intrigue at each event, a defined winner and how they got there.

Well actually this season its just been showing how good Dynasty are when they can still win every god dam event even with guns that are so sh*te.

Also, if $P by any name own a second franchise, then that means that they have 3 teams out of 9 in the NXL and as 2 are basically Dye thats a big chunk of the league, is that a sign that only a few believe?

Hmm..

So much dissing of my site.

That's ok TJ, I still love you. (and will continue to post PGI press releases for new magazines...(before other sites...)

Anyway, the deal is not clear to anyone, neither the NXL, Miami Effect, Smart Parts, or Richmond Italia are releasing too much information at any one time to any one source.

I have a slim amount of more information regarding the Smart Parts side of thing but was told that I was gagged on that.

I may be a bottom feeder and a rumor monger, but something I will not do is break agreements ;) That information is negligible at best anyway.

Okay, here's the scoop. The team known as Miami Effect has left the NXL and will play under a new name, which should be announced on Friday or Monday. The team will stay together in its entirety and will play in the Millennium Series, NPPL, and most likely Division One.

Gino Postorivo, CEO of National Paintball Supply and Empire Paintball told us, "Right now it is in the best interest of the team and our companies that they (LaSoya and the team) are not limited to playing in the NXL alone. As a worldwide concern we feel it is important for the team to get as much exposure as possible and to promote the sport both overseas and here in the U.S. There are no hard feelings with anyone over this and we still stand behind the concept of X-Ball and the NXL."

Momma Lambini was adamant yesterday that Lasoya was staying with NXL - and tha spirit who told her this was very reliable...however, for Gino P to say this suggests that tha spirit was possibly misinformed cos I don't think Gino would come out and say what he said unless he was 100% sure.

I hear that Lasoya called PGI Towers last night and tha boys are getting back to him later today, so fingers XXXd we'll have word direct from tha ponytailed one himself...
