I avoided responding to this when I saw the name Delta Force and thought I'd see how this goes
The article itself is excellent - a nice bit of publicity which will probably boost sales in the punter environment.
DF will get a significant part if that but I expect other sites will get some
I've never been to a DF site but they seem to me to be good at what they do
I would always recommend people go to a local site, preferably independent, especially when ticket sellers get brought up - my advice is never use a seller, if you plan on bringing a group then pick up the phone and find your local site, then get acreal deal
I feel the cost of a days paintball is quite irrelevant - if people get a good day out, pay a fair price without being messed about by ticket sellers descriptions, and play in a safe environment then it does not matter what the cost of a case of paint is
The average punter has the potential of being the future walkon / woods allergy / tourney guy if they start with a good experience
When we are walkons near the punters our responsibility is to not rub their noses in it as to how much cheaper we may be paying but to sell the differences in that we become the regular customer, bringing our own gear, and have the options of numerous styles of paintball
Articles like this (and possibly Paris Hilton in Hello - but maybe not) do the task of publicising and putting more people at the gates of the sites, with the addition on this article of showing off British business (there is still ignorance in some regular players of the significance of British design & manufacture)
So if Boris really wrote the article then well done to him, if he just let it be written in his name then still well dine
