masters-12 teams 11 games????

personally i prefer to walk to fields on a sat afteroon, and take my time and get things organised. i then stay over night so i don't have to travel in the morning. but thats my choice, and as i'm lucky enough not to work weekends that suits me.
i think it would be better to keep the 0900 start as there are people that do work weekends, and will find it hard to travel, in all fairness i wouldn't want a 3hr car journey, then have 20mins to walk the fields, get kit ready and then play a full day.
And seeing as it gets darker later, there's no worries about finishing, or traveling in the dark.
keep the 9 start and just end a little later, the last round worked well, why change something if it's working already.

Some very valid points have been made but it still seems very unresolved. This month i have 46 teams in Masters which means i could do 3 divisions of 12 and one division of 10, if i was to chose which div would have 9 games it would be division one, my reasoning for this, Northern Heroes need to get away early due to work commitments, and DV8 said that their paint bill was huge, assuming then that division one teams shoot alot more paint. Fair enough if my reasoning is off, i would appreciate your input.

What about an 8.30am start. This may keep everyone happy.....

Next month we will be going back to divisions of 10, with an extra game per division which should give every division 10 games and still have a normal start with an early finish.

Come on players I need your input I'm not going to make everyone happy but i'm trying to find a middle ground.

but most of our team work late night sat (i.e clubs pubs etc) so we're not done til 4am, the 9am start is good for us, we'd prefer later finishes.

Sorry you have lost me a little with this Wendy …. A Division of 10 will give 9 games.. A Division of 11 give 10 games..

So why not if you’re still getting plenty of interested teams run 4 divisions plus the KotH with 11 teams per division. Surly this is a good compromise and still gives more games that most are commenting on, allow more teams to gain an entry slot, and give a slightly earlier finish.

You will never keep everyone happy all the time .. Just most of the people some of the time.

Sorry I will try and explain it better.........

Next month;

Divisions of 10 would give everyone the usual 9 games but i will do a round robin i.e every team plays one team twice...... which will make 10 games.

If i do divisions of 11 it means there will be BYES all over the place which makes for a long day with alot of waiting around, which is why we prefer even numbers in divisions, it makes for a smoother tournament.

Is that better?
