Marshalling this weekend for the first time

I dont want 1 and yes i have been hit in the nads at close range but i have never grabbed em and squeeled like a pig.

I cant say it didnt hurt as it did but not as bad as i thought it would be but if a good lookin girls around and watching you either grab em and act funny or jus take it like a man and see her beem a smile at u
To clear the problem of repetitive shots to yourself by those recballers just get ur marker out with a full hopper and fire a few shots their way or next to em, it works wonders.
If somebody is really annoying ask 1 baller to hand over their marker and secretely paste their ass hehe i should i know i did it twice
And seeing their faces when they walk off..well you should know.

when it comes tp marshalling most people are sound as a pound as long as you treat them with a mutual respect, although youre in charge, you gotta remember that youre there to make their day.
the people you gotta look out for are the teenagers especially the lads because they are the ones who are going to act like total pranets, and think that they are gods gift to paintball just get em shot and that will shut them up.
if some guys doing really well - ie pushing up further than everyone else then give him some help - like look around, look both side etc
and then at the end of the game walk over to the players and say something like - who was that guy who pushed up that right tape and shot out like 8 people, that was awesome, now watch everyone else put more effort in, punters like to be recognised for something that seemed quite gutsy for them.

O yeah saying pballin terms such as Right tape left tape etc.. might confuse em unless you already told them, they may see the 'Tape' as a 'Wing' as in football (soccer u yanks )
If you tell em that a guy moved up good on the right tape then you will probably get a response as "i see no tape, what colour was it?" LOL

neck protecters can be bought from planet eclipse for £5. they are incredi!!
try to be assertive and but at the same time dont get too stressed, cos otherwise you will be in a crap mood for the rest of the day. watch out for unhappy punters lighting you up cos they didnt like an earlier decision!!!try to be aware, you may need eyes in the back of your head! be strict on cheaters, as they can ruin the spirit and outcome of every game. operate a one-for-one rule for persistent cheaters, take them out of the individual game for wiping and also one of their team members, you can guarentee that the friend will give them such a bollocking for being taken out of the game that they will never cheat again!!!! if they still cheat, do a one-for-two, or a one-for-three etc..... always be prepared to be on the move, ul be suprised how quickly you can be placed in the firing line by punters making crazy moves. and dont be suprised by the stupidity of punters, i have seen people digging small bunkers with the barrels of their guns behind trees to sit in and take cover, then they complain that their gun wont fire???!!!be strict on goggle lifters, people tend to calm down in the safe zone when you explain the stupidity of losing an eye by removing the goggles just because they felt hot!

Yeah some good advice already posted. If you get time in between games, or as you check them through into the gun zone, ask if they're having a good day/ if they've played paintball before/ what game they enjoyed most so far etc. Be a buddy and then they're more likely to accept you decisions or authority when you apply it! Also have a joke with them....i make out we're going to play strip paintball....never fails to raise a laugh & some very worrried looks! Depending on where you marshall you may get different punters every week so you can use the same old gags again & again & they're fresh every time. Oh yeah one more bit of advice....go on a first aid course!
