As tired as it sounds, the ability to play is more handy than a thousand dollar gun. Spend your money on a reliable gun and then the rest of it on playing.

Today's $250 Piranha would have cost you three times that four years ago. Get an electronic Piranha and go blast your friends, local teams and anyone else you can play. When they tell you your gun sucks, go shoot them a couple times.

Lots of good recommendations on guns. Whatever you get, I'd suggest you check your local stores or field before buying online. You can see how the guns feel when you hold them and most places service what they sell.

When I got my first autococker, the guy I bought it from took me through the whole gun - maintenance, common problems, how to set it up - and fixed any problems I had. And I had lots (talk to someone before you try to do your first trigger job) :D

You won't get that from a website.

keep in mind.. the higher end markers dont really need much upgrades to them compared to low end markers

using different upgrades on a higher end marker wont really show much difference compared to more upgrades on a low end gun

but also.. high end markers need more maintenance :p minimags are pretty simple to deal with, high quality, friendly tech support, simple design, slightly heavy though

Bollox

I own an Evo and every time it comes out of the bag it does the buisness, gets a clean and then gets put away untill the next weekend (by clean i only mean external wipe down, bolt out and a cloth running through 15 mins max). When it needs a service (which as yet it hasn't) it will get taken to the shop and sorted. Other people i know who have bourght spider and spider clones have nothing but trouble. My Evo is infinatly more reliable than a friends spider, damn when ever he plays the piece of s**t is in bits.

you can do that with all markers but eventually it comes down to much more than that

and when you say evo.. are you referring to armotech?

No whatever that is, By Evo I ment my evolution autococker (you know the belsales ones) and I've put about 15 boxes through it without a problem not had to mess with anything adjust anything its fine. OH and the point you made about not upgrading expensive markers the upgrade i did make to it made one hell of a difference, had a race frame fitted best $500 ive spent in a while.
