the only exiting thing that could possibly happen is some smart guy develouping a whole new platform for operating a gun, seems technology has peaked and in the ego 10 stopped, i mean come on a bigger screen? is this an advantage to short sighted ballers or something.

innovation is needed not quirks and small developments. in my oppinion the 07 and sl74 were the stand out egos and nothing has improved much since. the marq was the only gun to try something different with poppets and they shoot smoother than any ego i have tried, the mini started the macroless revolution and apart from that name a real innovation in gun design since.

tool less bolt removal was going on in the automags and cockers years ago.

to be honest i cant really see an advance of any significance happening in 5 years. (i really hope im wrong) but things have not changed much since the e-blades and angels first appeared over 10 years ago, other things can be developed along side the guns like hopper functions possibly even a hud in your mask with shot counts so you know when to reload without looking at the hopper, some sort of gps to show team mate posisions or even coach calls.

i know this sounds silly but thinking outside the box is needed to move things forward.

just read that back and it sounds like im having a pop at P.E.

please dont take this wrong but the ego line is top of the tree and that is what i have most recent experiance with and jack wood has developed a hell of a piece of kit and much the same could be said of most manufacturers, the dye matrix system aint changed much and the shockers are pretty simple. lets hope someone thinks something new up soon

do we need to use something radically new soon.? how many ways can we project a capsule of paint at a human being?

Like I said, there are cheaper ways of doing it, and thats pretty much the only place to go.

Forget marker technology, its going to be ball technology that is going to push boundaries to the next level. I hope that the .50 cal is as good as it says on the tin, as that seems to be the future.

thats exactly how the matrix was born,a guy from outside paintball was given a solinoid and was asked to design a paintball gun. he came up with the bolt design for the matrix! (or so i was told by a man in the know)

still works on the principle of a spooler though. the point i was meaning was the e.grip was the last major innovation in gun design. not a lot has changed since then exept tweaks to designs and tech and if someone came up with a gun that worked on a base that was different to a spool or poppet that would add something to the mix for people to advance.

More accurate, more air eff, lighter, smoother shot.

Make a gun that can shoot 10,000 off a 68ci, ways 4grams and shoots without being able to feel it. Then we've reached the ultimatiam
