Hey,

I'm a 15 yr old player who's been in the sport for over a year and I have a team we are going pro but need a sponser...I know you've heard a lot about different guns but forget all of that now...you don't even know if your going to like the sport...I bought a spyder compact 2000 off of ebay used with everything I needed for $98.00 it works great and is darn accurate...I'm going pro and don't even want a cocker...I have a spyder E-99 electronic now that I've tricked out and am going to play tourneys with that....I'll sell you my spyder compact if you want it but no matter what I'd stay with a spyder...they are the most reliable and most easily upgradeable...with cockers you have to time your gun and play around with it too much to get it to shoot right...screw that...and with angels all of the parts, even the small things are overly expensive...I'd stay with the spyder...and don't buy a rebel or a piranah or commando or anything...they all copied off of kingman (makes spyder) and are spyder wannabees.
Stick with the spyder they are one of the only guns that officiantly runs off of co2. Wich id good bacause co2 tanks are like 20.00 and like 3 bucks to get filled and nitrogen tanks are like 300.00 for a good one...STICK WITH THE SPYDER KINGMAN!!! If you or anyone else is interested in buying my tricked out spyder kingman or sponsering my team contact me at Armyman103@hotmail.com

If you can get yourself to a tournament to see what its like. Plently of people will be happy to show off their markers. Its the best way to decide what marker you want. When I started playing I bought a spyder and was happy with it until I tried a cocker at a tournament and it just felt right. It was so much nicer than my spyder I had to have one

True. Cockers are great, but as good as they are, fast...they aint!
To get a cocker to rip will take an electro frame, and the only ones worth having are the Eblade or Race (Eblade deff!)
They also are not for the faint hearted when it comes to maintenance (timing etc) and have squillions of moving parts when compared to something like a Mag. Thats not biase, its a fact, which is what I based my choice of marker on, which is why I have an RT and will get an Xmag as soon as I can (course if someone were to give me an Eblade or I had surplus funds Id have one as well!)

P.S. The reason I say get the Melee from AGDE is because you can request the preset output and John will set it for you before he sends it.

Now I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion but this is absolute toss.
Spyders are OK markers but there are far better ones on the market for the same price. There is an eclipse bushmaster for sale in the classified section for around the £200 mark. I would recommend that as it is an excellent marker and vey cheap (comes with a dye boomstick as well). A half decent spyder with a half decent barrel will cost almost the same but the bushy is in a completely different league to the spyder.

Ok i'll add my opinion now...

I started playing 'ball in '88, had some time out when money was low then decided it was time to get back into the game.

I bought a BE Raptor off ebay for £40, Decided I wanted to get seriously back into paintball.

This was after spending another £50 getting the marker working properly (double trigger/delrin bolt etc etc.)

Then decided, sod it, and bought a standard 2000 Autococker secondhand for £200 which is upgradeable and everyone sells parts for. Most people know someone who can time one (i can't!! )

If you are going to play long term, dont get a cheap marker, false economy. (ok i sold my Raptor on ebay for £115, but i got lucky)

p.s. Mags are also good I used to use a lev 3 in tournys back in '91 it never let me down (I did that all on my own)
