it depends -

Some airsystems (eg Maxflow) the gunmounting is the reg, and therefore if you wanted to remove the bottle from the marker you would do so intentionally from the reg.

Presets and Air systems with removable bottles (with 2ndary valves) must be loctited otherwise you run the risk of removing the bottle from the valve, when trying to simply remove it from the marker. This i VERY dangerous, as it can be done when the bottle is presuresed.

one word - BOOM!!

Better Things 2 Do!
:D As I said could be different with preset systems.

Anyway moving from Co2 to HPA is one of the best moves anyone could make, and with screw in systems getting cheaper in the UK slowley (in fact I believe u can get adjustable 4500 screw in systems for less than £200) and more sites being able to supply air its only a matter of time :)

Hey, don't even try installing an on/off valve yourself, unless your an airsmith. You really should go to a shop to get it done, that way you know its installed right, and if it does fail, your not liable for misuse of you equipment.

And yes, the dye grips will fit on the 98.
lets face it its not the most dificult job to do:rolleyes:

hpa systems and loctite

With regards to the above you should read the booklet that comes with your bottle. some like the Angel air say that you shouldn't loctite it in as you'll invalidate the warranty where as others say to put it on. just read the instructions that come with your bottle.

Before you take the valve off tho make sure you empty your bottle guys :D

co2 bottles
On the oppisite end to the pin, on the thread, apply loctite to the bottom 3 threads and then screw in to the bottle. Get a wrench that fits the valve and tighten. Nothin hard about it. Let it dry for a while before filling with gas tho.

Taking the old valve off is all about brute strength really.

hope that helps
