Which is why i am expressing the point that you need to weigh up the factors that mean the most for you. if you have already played and know for sure that this is something you will stick to buying new might be more of an option, whereas if you are unsure then second hand would be the way to go. It is more than possible to buy a new tourney style marker for less than £200 e.g. DP E1, GOG eNVy, PMR, even super-cheap just paintball's eros guns. Secondly, i think the biggest reason that new players would want to buy new is that they have no clue how paintball markers work as they have never owned one and don't feel technically confident in fixing problems themselves that can occur with second hand markers.
Its about making the right choice for your circumstances and that is why i'm saying that buying new shouldn't just be disregarded, especially for new players.
I'm anew be going to start with my 16 year old son going regularly as we love it what's best place get a second hand gun for about £350 , and on top of that I wAnt by second hand bottle and a spire feed

Quickest route to the classified section here is to buy Platinum membership, that gives you access to the best deals when they come up.
Otherwise you have to post 20 constructive comments, which is hard when your new.
Plenty paintball sites on face book, buyer beware, do your home work on the seller and get vouches..
You can't go wrong with a Planet eclipse marker either GEO or EGO range secondhand spire or Rotor, second hand 1.1 litre fibre bottle with a ninja reg if possible then your sorted with top quality kit which won't drop too much in price if you decide to sell/ change.
I started with my son when he was 17, have fun.

And the two week wait, so whilst speed posting gets you up to the number, you will still have to wait.

Or as has been mentioned, go Plat.

Hey lads, great post and appreciate the info.
I'm two in the same boat where I can't see the classified section atm but I'll hold out for now until I do. I was going to buy the Invert mini GS and a mask and go from there. I'll hold off a bit tho in case I can get a nearly new one a lot cheaper. Or an Axe?

good review but also worth a mention when the next gen of guns come out the old model are cheaper new or second hand we all know the player who looks at the new model and has to have, but remember guns are set to 10.5bps so even my 1990 angle will do that
