Devastating?? It would be a Godsend!!!;) The PSP should come over the pond and show everyone how to do it properly!!
No need. We already have Balls Out Promotions, who could put on an event to rival the MS.

In fact, I believe they have a Euro series in the pipeline.

I'll stick this in the one thread, cannot be bov'd doing the others

this morning the rain was horrendous, but it was the danger of the lightning overhead which stopped play, we were literally potted and good to
go invade the call was made. There is no problem at all with the netting or the bunkers, so the millennium team are really at no blame there.
Around 1pm we were told the days play was off but no more than an hour later the skies cleared and now it's pretty glorious.

So...

There's been talk of playing games on Monday if at all possible as plenty f teams will be stuck with the volcano havoc. What happens tomorrow we don't know, no doubt we'll spend another 6 hours waiting about and play no ball, after a long ass drive, I don't think I should begin to explain our feelings. The only positive thing is, we have a guaranteed way of getting back, albeit a long one :) we've had so many people asking for a ride as it's bound to be a nightmare just getting away from here other than driving.

Time to pop open the vodka I threw in my bag and try and avoid being taken to the strip club by the crazy yanks, one of which has disappeared since last night!!!

acts of god can,t be prevented
but a new competitor on the euro scene might get the millenium to raise their standards
and customer service, they have had the euro scene to themselves for too long and maybe got a bit complacent
look at the US where they have had 2 strong leagues it has pushed the standards of their events up.
maybe they need a fed organisation to alter things:)

Unfortunately the MS can't predict the weather but yes 2 out of 3 affected by the weather at this time of the year. For sure the beach location which has played havoc with the setup will be reviewed by the MS powers that be.

Of course the MS want to run as many games as possible and Jay is spot on as to what should be given priority. The unlocked divisions generally have a large numer of local teams in them and for sure these are the grass roots players that will be disheartened more by our sport if the event gets cancelled fully. It also works for the MS as those teams are the ones that don't have to attend the other events.

The MS do recognise that they have to do something to appease their customers. They also realise that they need to try and get as many games played here as possible in case of other problems at other events. Hence why extra floodlights were drafted in to allow play until midnight last night.

Jay in respect of locked teams there has been no official announcement, but for sure it will be something fair - or teams will just say screw it and play a lower unlocked league next year to not tie themselves financially. Personally I would have re-drawn the groups and those not in attendence due to volcanic ash placed in groups to play at another event.

My only problem with the MS in this situation is again the communication. Although this time it has been much better than last year. With the call to cancel todays games coming much earlier than the 6pm of last year.

We have been informed an update will happen for sure at 7am tomorrow but I am reliably informed that they are trying to formulate a number of contingency plans and hope to make the announcement tonight. To Lash it up or not lash it up that's the question.

Praying for no rain to take down the GI Milsim Booth here!!!

thats the best thing i have heard so far, have you mentioned this to them? cause from what i can gather they are just going to say tuff luck to the teams who couldnt make it and give them a the lowest score they can so it looks like they are doing some thing about it.
