The location thread on the millennium series web site is now 'under construction' again.
And the latest news regarding the venue has also been removed from the site.
Anyone know whats going on

MADRID - IMPORTANT INFORMATION - NEW LOCATION

Yesterday morning we were given the green light by Real Madrid City for our Madrid event to be held at their fantastic new training ground.

Unfortunately after we announced this news another party has approached Real Madrid with a batch of evidence relating to environmental and staining issues with regard to paintballs. We have now been advised that full analytical testing must be carried out and this will take up to 2 weeks. We cannot take this risk and have therefor decided to hold the event at our back up venue which is still an excellent site that will allow for a superb event from both the players and trade perspective.

This is obviously a huge disappointment to us particularly as parties unconnected with the Millennium have decided to sabotage our extensive efforts to take professional paintball to another level.

The new venue details are as follows.

shame there was no paintball governing body that could organises answers for this type of thing,

Having spoken to the organisers this morning it has to be said that i may have got my facts slightly scewed! Although upset at the fact that it has taken so long to get the venue they had announced, in hindsight it would be fair to say that it would have been great for the sport. It was a shame though that it took so long.

I have now been told the truth about the who's and why's behind what has happened and it is only fitting to mention the fact that it is now beyond doubt that it was not their fault. I appologise for my rant since i did not have all the facts at my disposal. I suppose it was just the frustration of loosing scuh a prestigious venue. If what has been said is true then i really think its about time the paintball community started working together and stopped trying to gain a foot hold by treading on someone else.

I think all of the teams involved want a return to the days when the Millennium series was the world leader in major paintball events. They have gone some way to achieving this with the way Marseille and Bitburg have gone, Madrid promises a great deal and lets hope they can overcome the problems and make it one to remember.

If this sounds like a total u-turn on what i had previously said then that's no bad thing. Next time i will wait for the full facts before tapping my thoughts out on the keyboard!!!

Did anyone ever get together like it was suggested, and form the representation group thing?
If no, then you can't moan (sorry, don't have the power to make people take notice :)).
If it was formed then get your stuff together and tell them what you think :).

Just like people who 'don't vote'.
-if you don't take an active role then you can't bitch and moan at what hapens. They are a private company and therefore should offer what they promise, but unless you're in an official group they will neither listen nor take notice...

This is a joke and a total kick in the bollox for all the teams that have to put up with this just to play in the only top level tournaments europe has to offer.
But yeah...it is a kick in the nads. If you're serious about improving yourself then go play the NPPL.
But that's not going to improve things back here...
