and hope the hotel manager is a nice guy
or the the boss will give you a few hours extra overtime

i'm ok coz i get up early anyway
but i think it would have been nice
to have had it a bit closer to the M25

well for me, every leg has been about as far away from me as each other, im in colchester essex so i join the m25 on the A12 junction, dartford would have been slightly closer, but ah well, u dont hear me complaining, and im getting a fooking train there! 3 hour journey!!!!

trigger_finger, whats better, driving for hours to SWPL/MM/S2003 etc etc, or having a much better event(from what i have heard) in an under 2 hour drive, why cant everyone quit their bitching, this is the first year of this series, it is hard to get venues to agree as they know how dirty it will be after, next year, im assuming the venues will be kept the same(or its really stupid if they arent) which means u know when they are and how to get there for years to come

sheriff: yeah you have the right to make the points, so do i, as im also a paying customer, but i accept it as its the only tournys i can reach, and they are dam good!

I know your sad and spend most of your dayz posting on this forum but maybe you should try looking at a map once in a while cos last time i checked dartford is only 3 junction from the A12 and the M4 is at least 10 junctions around the other side
and yes i would and have travelled long distance for better tournies and more organised tournies so it's not the distance it's the fact the we had no prior warning that the venue was going to change from one side of the m25 to the other which now means that some of our team may not be able to get there because the organizer never had the concideration to say that she's had problems with a venue and the location may change and lets remember it was her that said it would be in dartford last time round and not anybody else

i still think this tourney should be renamed the sparklie last minute west M25/M4 league

maybe this is a stupid question...

But wasn't the major selling point & promise of this league that all of the legs would be within, or damn close to the M25?

Have ANY of the legs actually fulfilled that promise?

Not to mention the other promise about "ALL FIELDS WILL BE GRASS"

Oh yes > cockersrule > how r u going to get there for the first game? They are 'sposed to start at 9, but then that would be another promise, wouldn't it?

Bitch bitch bitch bitch......is that all everyone does. it's changed and that's that. We either play or we don't. it's not going to change anything by moaning.

Sherrif....Yes your right sparklie must of known way before this what was going on and a simple post saying"hold your horses don't book any accomadation" would have been nice. but the girl gets so much stick off people i think she couldn't face telling everyone, which has just made matters worst!!

At the end of the day it's a learning curve for her and i'm sure next year we'll still have some problems because you just can't please everybody, but i'm sure it will get better.

can you imagine trying to book somewhere for these events and saying "your field/park will have big holes left in it from where the scaffold poles were and the ground will be covered with paintballs for the next god knows how long but hey you don't mind do you" it can't be an easy thing to sort out.

Lets all stick together and make this tournie work. lets have something to be proud of for once instead of just slatting people for trying their best which us humans seem to be pretty good at!!

Not my problem mate if she said its there so you can book hotels then thats wetre it should be or we should get more notice.
As for travel we have played from one end of the country to the other so the travel is not a problem we have played cannock up north to heavens gate way down south and are playing the welsh open .
Why dose she not ask for help may be us wingers whould help in any way we could to keep[ this thing going.
We have allready said that we will marshall all the winter legs for her to help out.

BLIMEY people, seems like a lot of you are quite happy to flame sparklie- again. We know how the events have been announced every leg has been the same, as for deposits- well most hotels will allow you to cancel without charge up to 2 days prior, so unless you're stayin in some 4* hotel you should get all your money back. As for events being next to or near the M25- fair call the M4 is gettin a little distant but if this next leg is as good as the others then i for one do not mind travelling the extra distance to play a top series like this.

i'll see you sunday sparklie, lookin forward to it:D
