A huge thanks to all who attended the day, in particular the Scottish Warriors, who travelled the length of the country, and the Wild Geese who almost blew me out of my boots on more than one occasion.

We hope that everyone enjoyed themselves, I know that all the staff at Skirmish did.

We have learned some valuable lessons from this first big game that we hosted, and are looking forward to putting them into practice next time arround, so watch this space for news of our next venture.

Once again thankyou all for comming.

Phil.

ps. thanks to Liz for reporting on the day.

Thanks to Lawrence, Phil and all the marshals/staff at Skirmish who made us all feel very welcome! It was an excellent day and i for one really enjoyed it. I heard the final score was something like 2800 to us 'baddies' and 1500 to the Fellowship?
Thanks to Liz for getting out of her bed, when she could have had a lie in, to report on the game for PBUK.

Thanks also to everyone who had a go at the Tsunami Blingwraith Cancer Research UK competition. We raised a total of £81 for our chosen charity and gave prizes of Powerball Sterling paint to the two lucky winners.

Yes a big thank you to all the event organisers and the friendly staff at Skirmish Lasham for putting the day on, it was nice to have a big game in the south east for a change and I hope you make this a regular event.

I felt the day was a success with only a few teething problems that can be ironed out for next time, the main one being picking a date when HPac can bring down an air system for each safe zone as refilling on the front lines was a bit tricky at times.

Here are my ideas for future senario names on the same theme:

LOTB The Fellowship of the Bling
LOTB The Two Blings
LOTB The Return of the Bling

Yep - ditto all the above.
There were a few minor problems but it was an excellent start for all the guys involved.
I have no doubt that next year's will be even better!
Special gratitude for putting on a big game so far south. I was home in just 40 minutes!
We were all in 'Rohan' and had the great honour of taking on some wraiths in the afternoon.
I shall forever enjoy recounting the story of how I lasted nearly a whole minute after opening fire on a small group of wraiths.:D
I think we got two of them before the rest punished us for our optimistic bravery!
Many thanks to everyone involved - roll on the Lasham Big Game 2005!

A thank you from the Geese to all the Staff and Players, who made this a great day.We had an eventful day...you may have heard us!!!Hats off to the Good Guys, played really hard and fair all day.The final set piece was tremendous...given another 5 mins the result may have been slightly different, as when they called time we were starting to run out of all supplies in the fort.I had 3 balls left and no air at all,not a drop.

Look forward to it next year.....see you all at Braveheart

Myself and DB both had enough air to fire about another 10 balls at a range of 3 metres! We were saving the last drop of air in case they had enough time to come in for the mug but didn't need it in the end!! (HOW many times was '3 minutes called'? I heard it 3 times!!) ROFL!! It was taken in good fun tho as we understand the good guys were meant to win...but the forces of evil were stronger than the nasty little hobbitses!!

PS did i get those bonus points in the end for bringing in the Fellowships loo? ;)
