well that quite frankly, is just wrong. Players aren't just motivated to move teams because they aren't moving forward.

Players mostly leave because they have no loyalty. They want everything for free and they see moving teams as a way to make this happen faster. The grass is always greener on the other side. Unfortuanatly for them what they are promised is very rarely what they actually recieve, and as such they do it again and again.

If you leave a team, you should do it at the end of a season and not half way through unless there are some serious problems. You should be giving that team your everything at least for a season because you grow as a unit over the time and you start to win.
Beautifuly put.

No jealousy on my part. I don't even play anymore ;)

Chris - that is exactly my ideal and unfortunately we were the victim of "the grass is greener" mentality. I don't think that anyone could have tried harder to make players feel welcome and part of a unit than myself and develop a strong squad but in some cases that was'nt enough.

I think that there is a severe lack of loyalty and this is probably bred by players with some talent expecting everything for nothing. I have played this sport for 18 yrs and the majority of that I worked and spent every penny I earned on it - no sponsorship nothing.

Anyway - what's done is done.

The thing i find hilarious is this whole "sponsorship" thing. Three teams in the UK are "sponsored". Nexus, Tigers, Shock. Only those guys are getting sponsorship for real.

All the other teams in the UK i would hazard a guess recieve what is essentially the same package. A couple of boxes of paint, a 'deal' on clothing and 'cheaper' guns. Woohoo!

Its brilliant when someone on a team comes to me and says ' were getting this, this and this for this price.' while im thinking to myself, i get all that stuff about 20% cheaper from the same guy who's offered you the deal. Y'all are sucka's.

When you find a group of guys as committed as Rich and his other co-horts, you stick with em through thick and thin. Otherwise your screwing yourself over without realising it.

edit: i just haven't found those guys yet

Mario your spot on in what you say .

i played for Lincoln Storm couple years ago when i joined i did it because i enjoyed playing with the guys on the team i didnt give a flying FCUK what they got sponsorship if any ,

ive got guys who play in the team with me who have been offered all this so called great sponsorships but they chose to stay with me and the rest of the team .

no matter how much free or cheap kit you get training and commitment are what make the team .

i know Richard and Ian worked hard to get the deals they did for the team.

im the first to say i had my differences with couple people but i still take my hat off for the hard work and effort they put in to progress the team..
