ok, we need to do this sooner or later right, otherwise the sports gonna go outta hand, but everyone is saying checking markers rof etc. is nearly impossible, but why not limit the loaders? standard board or something in the halo/egg, that you cant tamper with, limiting 16 bps or there about....easy to test, and whos gonna wanna shoot faster than thier loader?

just a thought.

pointless as most people can only fire about 12bps with any functionality anyway. The higher bps just makes for a more consistent marker as it's optimised to cycle fast. What's the point of limiting it when it's already limited by the firer.
Anyway, I'll stick to seven shots a game, nine if I'm chronoe'd.
that's one each :)

ok, fair enough

not that many people shoot over 13 in a game. ok.
but look at the way guns are going. from pumps to now in not a long time, surely they're gonna go faster, and thats gonna spoil the game.
i can say, ive probs never shot faster that 10bps in a game, but there are those super fast gun nuts that shoot real fast - look at most decent back players.....

just a thought tho. also, will it be possible to go faster?.....

laters.

ROF is already capepd, it is capped at whatever the loader on the gun feeds at. If you have a gun that does 40 cycles per second, and a revvy on it, then you are naturally capped at 13 balls a second anyway. Even HALO's and ZBoard Eggs will only feed at around 24 ish balls per second, and many people cannot sustain that kind of firepower anyway, and if they can, then good luck to them, firing fast is a skill, why should it be regulated? It aint as if anyone is gonna turn around and say, "hmm.....you run too fast to the 50, carry this rock on your back to slow you down, to make it fair for everyone"

Skyhawk, there is a guy in classifieds selling a clue, you may be able to buy it off him if you are quick.:p :D :p

Sam this already happens in literally every major sport, and especially where electrical and mechanical devices are used.

Have you never heard of handicaps.

Motor racing, has weight added and taken away to minimise advantages.

If paintball becomes a recognised sport with tv coverage and serious sponsorship, then we need to look at some form of control before it is given to us.

Hmm....football, rugby, tennis, swimming, basketball, american footbal, baseball, and thousands of other sports are defined by how fast you are, or how fast you can use your equipment.

If everyone has an equal chance to do the same thing, i.e everyone potentially has the ability to own a marker capable fo the same thing, then ROF should be a skill, not something to be handicapped just cos some people are unable to do it like others are.

Achieving high ROF is a skill, at least it is when cheats are removed, it should not be capped just cos there are people who cannot do it. Do you ban swerving of a football on a free kick cos only a few people can do it right? Or ban a fast bowler in cricket cos no other bowler can achieve his speeds? No, you dont, why should our sport be any different?
