humm, not quite my hard rocking amigo. I play rec-ball and own a sweet impulse. Before that an automag and my 1st gun was a spyder shutter, none of which are ugly (performance not been an issue).

I an't gonna enter the whole Rec VS Torny discussion as its been done a 1000 times before, but i'd put a good sum of money that there is alot of rec ballers out there that could whip your a$$ on a Sup Air Field. Some people are in the same situation as me, there is no Sup Air field where i live, and i have no choice but to play Rec'.

Yeah, it was the SLR I was thinking of!!! Dunno if it's true or not, but an ex squaddie mate of mine once told me you could turn SLR's full auto by jamming a match into the firing mechanism.....

But a waste of time. The first five rounds used to hit crotch, stomach, chest and head and the rest of the mag went into the sky.

It was, after all, a direct development of the Belgian FN-FAL, which had full auto and was a solid gun.

SA-80.... piece of ****. Hated it.

If you want ugly.... H&K G11. Looks like a plank, fires like a wet dream. Shame the project got canned.

I still reckon the original Shockers were quite ugly. Not in the conventional sense, more in the "Brick with a handle" sense. Sorry Smart Parts, but I really cannot find anything nice to say about its looks. It shoots really well, but it looks grim.

Nah. Spent four years in the cadet showing the young-uns how to shoot and spent a lot of time on RAF bases beating the squaddies at their own game, but never joined up.

I think the correct term is "Gifted Amateur".

If you want to get really surreal, go search the web for something called a Gepard M2. Possibly the ugliest gun ever made. It has bits of car suspension bolted to it to take up the recoil.

G11... yes, was supposed to be German special forces issue. something like 4.5 mm caseless rounds. It actually shot really well, you could make a single hole with it shooting full auto, but it was expensive. I think they Germans went for the G36 after that, just to keep with the NATO 5.56 tradition (Uuuuurgh! I still hate that cartridge).

P90... Lovely gun. Inaccurate, but if you want a corridor or a room cleared, it's the toy to use...

I have to stop talking like this otherwise the local coppers will be asking me questions, seeing as how they have turned paranoid after 9/11.

Yes!!! But for the wrong reason's.......

I think it was Shuck's Shocker many moons ago. We had a quick try of it, and the first comment was, "WOW!!! Have you seen how iced up it's gotten after only about 30 balls through it!!"
