It does appear Chris Lasoya has a history of poor sportsmanship..
and the bottom line is, people like him dont do much for the image of paintball and i think the "powers that be" should come down on such sporting anarchists hard.. VERY hard...

im in it for the SPORT, not idolising players, especially irresponsible ones.. and so many people on PB nation think its "cool" and say they would "do the smae thing"
No offence to our cousins across the pond, but so many yank players seem to be well into this "paintball gansta crap" it sickens me..

Paul, my bad, teach me to not verify and read the rules myself. I haven't played X-ball in years so my rules knowledge has slacked, Sorry.

At first I thought he had been ejected from the whole tournament, not just that one game.

I don't think it was as bad as Eric Cantona drop kicking a fan in the stands.

I see it more like an ice hockey fight off to the side of the action where one guy gets cold clocked, or like an off the ball incident in football.

It was very cold, and I was shocked when I watched it.

I'm not sure if the crowds were appalled or entertained. The USA crowds seem to be very blood thirsty.

On a side note, I was seriously impressed to see how well Docs Raiders, Ultimate, and LTZ held up in the NXL games. I was also suprised at how dominant the Philadelphia Americans looked on the field on the Sunday.

In all honesty why don't they just say: If you're going to continue to be allowed to play you must go through an anger management course? That'd probably turn out best for all the players, mostly himself.

Although there obviously isn't smoke without fire that is also rather biased.

It was written by someone (I guess there are a few) with a grudge against Chris.

Chris bunkered the guy in that story, who then spun and shot him, at that point Chris then shot him some more.

It wasn't just 'Chris bunkered a guy and shot him 12 times in the head'... as that tries to make it seem.

on reading it.. it did seem a lottle biased, and from a distinct point of view.. i guessed as much, thankyou for clearing that up...

Not a prob, Simon. I just wanted the factual details to be clear to anyone interested.

I appreciate the kind words but we played poorly and that's obviously on me. Despite seeming to be new to all this we have, for the most part, experienced NXL players and will show better in future events.

Philly brought the whole package and for a first event their execution was superb. They earned it.

not quite the same thing in my opinion (and I'm definitely not trying to defend Chris's actions, just put them into context)...

What would happen if the pitcher deliberately threw the ball at the batters head?...

I don't think it should be a police matter, but I do feel that players should be able to be put on probation by the league, or even suspended, for actions like this. There should be some sort of arbitration that deals with this type of thing and is designed to deter future offenders.
I keep saying it, but there have to be tougher consequences or the behavior or todays players will continue to deteriorate.
Chris is one guy who should definitely know better!!
