Sorry Baca.....back on topic....

I don't really think it's reasonable to expect Millenium to do anything about it.
Well, Joern has said in the past that he doesn't care who it is, if you do something to warrant being banned, you're gonaa get banned - pro, am or novice.

It's not as if they're unaware of the situation, so the first thing that needs to happen is to wait and see if they step up and do it. And based on LaShiznizzle's past conduct, I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be the same as the Pan Am's lifetime ban.

The idea of the players voting is great, in theory, but the EPA has to get a lot more player support before something like that could happen. The turnout for the meeting in Toulouse was pretty weak due to delayed marshalls / captains meetings and people not knowing exactly where it was going to be, and a lot of people that I talked to hadn't even heard of the EPA. Hopefully the likes PGI / Facefull, etc. will help to get the word out. And it might not be a bad idea to have a scheduled meeting at every event, or somehow have a rep. at registration or something similar to a trade stand.

Right... I'm not trying to say the Millenium shouldn't do anything about it, or can't, but the best solution is that a group of people with a mandate from the players (they're elected) decides when players face administrative action. Then there simply isn't any of the "Well, the promoters did/didn't ban this person because...." or "They're immune because of sponsors..." or "The Board just doesn't care...". You also do the Board the favor of taking any potential heat for banning a player off of them as well. With a committee, if a player does or does not get banned, it's because that's what the people elected by the players decided.

If everyone was required to get an EPA player ID, everyone would know what the EPA is, especially if you then contacted all of the players now in the ID system and said "We are electing a player disciplinary committee. To vote, this is what you do."

Can Joern just singlehandedly ban a player and have it stick?

If not, how is a player actually going to end up banned, and if so, isn't that just as bad?

I know I wouldn't be terribly comfortable if my ability to play was dependent on one guy's decision, no matter who that particular person was.

New Russians, we noticed how good you played on our field (Draxxus) too, fair and well played.

The fact of the matter is.......Lasoya played on and they won the game, the win/placing will last forever, the fact he played on will be lost and forgotten very soon. Lasoya knows this, his sponsors know this, their all happy. People will not stop buying Diablo paint because Chris played on, infact they'll probably buy more because his team mowed people all weekend....
He didn't club a judge around the head with a timmy, trying to penalise him after the tournament for playing on or over-shooting is pathetic, how many other players did the same thing all weekend long.......
The judges should have cracked some heads at the time when it all went down, they didn't, thats the end of it really.....

i was impressed by the speed of LaSoya's gun all weekend. He was firing faster than i have ever seen anyone fire, even when he was firing left handed, with one hand, while the other hand was potting up........i swear that his finger wasnt moving when he was firing.......  i wasnt the only one to see this either....just ask the people who watched Miami vs Shockwave on the JT field, on the tape sideline......

Its a shame that LaSoya is associated with all of this negativity, cos all the games i saw him play he was unbelievable...the stuff he was pulling off was amazing! It was as if he had the ability to see what the spectators were seeing, he moved when everyone looked the other way time after time and got so many kills i lost count. He played like a god all weekend, with no need to push the rules. Seeing him play with his sixth sense was great, shame all of the stigma attached to him has to be what everybody will remember.

Forgotten.... until the next time he does it. The "YardDog" incident has already been "remembered" in this thread. Does everyone keep letting it go until we have a list as long as your arm?

Yes, the judges should have cracked heads at the time. They didn't and that was their mistake, but that should not be the end of it, it should be the start of looking at ways to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Not really, it's just the truth, I don't advocate it...... Why the bite?

The way to make sure he dosn't get away with it is to be extra harsh on him when you judge, I would have piled up the arm bands..
