Just Paintball Factory Team

Let me get one thing straight. I think the PA League is an awsome idea, there is no hidden agenda here, I have been playing for 2 years now and my mates still think I am Rambo.

I have seen the league listings and it says So Manc, all other teams including Macclesfield have used their town/city names in their team names. My understanding was that this was the cornerstone of the PA events. The reason for the whole idea of the PA League (and what an excellent idea). If the first ever league is allowed to be watered down by 2 teams in the top league, one of which will most likely win, then what will happen next year when everyone else wants a "cool" name.

The "They think it's all over" thing had not occured to me before but now when I think about it, what a fantastic opportunity "Missed". The BBC should have reported on the PA Association Champions "Manchester", not so manc which may have just as well been the "Sticky Clagnuts"

Don't get all defensive, stick to the principles of the PA League and what it stands for.

We are not football, rugby, cricket etc and so cannot be compared. Paintball is an obscure sport to the public like Marbles or snail racing and recognition is what is needed.
I appreciate your support and apologise most sincerely if I jumped the gun...unfortunately this particular thread came to my attention right on the back of yet another phone call that someone is spreading more lies and rumor about the PA so I was in kind of a tetchy mood anyway...and the problem with posts as I always say is that they are a more open to interpretation by the mood of the reader than the mood in which they were written.

I kind of agree and yet disagree with your Sticky Clagnuts analogy to some degree. Yes true they didn't say Manchester but I think in all honesty that the majority of people in the UK understand what Manc refers to in the same way Geordies & Cockneys receive recognition as to their origins. As I said, that was the BBC's choice not ours. After all it was their TV program, and I think the fact that the BBC chose to refer to the team by their "popular" name in a way kind of makes me think that they pretty much expected people to understand the "manc" bit as well. In their defence they did refer to them by their title of "The Paintball Association Cup Champions"

After all, they also referred to Sir Norbert Stiles O.B.E. by his more widely known nic-name of "Nobby" so I guess we can't be too harsh on them :D
