John, I'd have no idea whether it runs on green or red magic goo.
But it still looks a bit similar to the 2002 fly I had. I suppose if WDP believe they have a succesful design why change.
I personally don't like the look of it that much.
That said I hated the Ego when it first came out - like that now
Hated the Dm4 when it came out - think that and DM5 look awesome now
So I am sure I will warm to this. More interested in the new bits of metal inside on this one that the looks, sure I will get a Joy G7 when it comes out too but that will be a few months off I think...
OK, so aesthetics aside, even with all the new magic dust and flux capacitors inside, isn't the "bag of sand" on a gat becoming a prehistoric pricing strategy. One look at second values on gats, suggests premium pricing is way off. This is compounded when all the team, backdoor mate discounts start hitting classifieds too. Anyone who's paying full MRRP these days has gotta be mad, no?.

agreed. even i can get my hands on a brand new speed 05 from wdp for far less than retail and imy team is certainly not sponsored by wdp. i mean far far less. look at the price of the 05 speed now in classifieds. one went recently for £475!!!!
that is the only thing i resent about wdp. g7, arsenal edition, joy edition master tech edition, god knows what other special editions. how are we really meant to keep up?? every time one comes out your shiny new toy is worth considerably less and less.
now does anyone want to sort me out with a back door discount on a new black ego!!!????

Very true.
Although there are alot of markers that still cost around that price the void in performance between the high end and budget has got alot smaller.
There are still going to be people who think a grand isnt alot of money. People so demented that they would spend a similar amount of money on a stick to whack balls around with...
