The proto koth would be good for you to try before you decide to buy all your own equipment. As for persuading parents, I was in the same situation and eventually realised they werent going to give in so had to sell some of my stuff (guitar etc) to buy what I needed

on a side note bud ,the best thing you could do is bring your mum along and let her see what Super air is all about ,when she see's it is treated as a sport rather than a commando convention you will have more chance of persuading her about the marker. and if the guys you are playing/training with have any sense they will be polite and helpfull around parents anyway

Like I said mate, tell me when your going to come down and I will (or someone else) explain to your parents about the kit, safety etc.

And for KOTH the different prices are: No Paint Just Entrance, Entrance and rec-paint or something & entrance and Good paint
