I think that if someone insulted me in a public forum, then apologised in private then I'd be pi$$ed off as I'd still look bad. Public insulting can only be countered with a public apology.

Trouble with internet forums- it'e easy to sit at your keyboard thinking you're tough and talking the talk....not so easy when what you've said catches up with you in the real world.

The joys of hindsight. I guess what i meant is that the initial insult shouldnt have gone to the forums in the first place.

But i eel that arguing over **** in the past almost just of the sake of it is kinda silly and could be considered immature. I feel that im digging myself into a very unpleasant hole here with my blinkered niaevety but cant we just leave our egos at the door and get along?
