Liz, Skyball is held over a weekend so the fields are ready on the friday night when the teams arrive so there is time for them to walk those fields so with holiday days allowed it doesn't apply. The World Cup is a different affair as it is in term time for a lot of the teams, so they have to bunk off school to play so as the schedule got changed they now have an extra 2 days to account for with the principal .Originally posted by Liz
Going back to the field walking subject, I gather that different levels of players will be competing on different days. So it's no use citing the comment that Skyball had all it's fields set up well before the event, as many players won't be able to arrive until the day before they are due to compete, by which time a different group of players will be using the fields. People's holiday allowance is limited so they won't be able to afford the time off work to walk the fields before everything starts then hang around for a couple of days before playing themselves.
The sensible option (who ever said paintballers are/were sensible? ) would be to have the entire week as holiday but if you are still in school this isn't an option. Of course you could say to those teams "if you want to play in the adult world...." but that would be way too cheap a shot, although the only people really complaining are those still in the school system. Everyone else has taken holiday time paid or unpaid dependant on their jobs to be there for the whole event.
Baca, stop with the damn rumours !!
But then most all of the people who have been posting in these World Cup related threads are all going to be there to see it rise or fall.
5 min games at the World Cup.... that means back players are gonna have to run !!! that WILL be fun to see
