i agree. I think this might give paintball the image that it is staged and gimicy(sp?) like wrestling. We all know there is rivalry between teams but like someone above said, when paintballers are seen having a go at each other and imploring that they're going to "open up a can of whoopass", then we seriously limit the prospect of large numbers of new players. It'll turn into Bravo's(a low budget game show channel in the UK for all those that don't know) hit show "Extreme Dodgeball", trade the Dye playin kit for cops and robbers costumes and hey presto, recognition as a propper sport is down the pan. It looks like it could be good but needs some major adjustments. Isn't paintball fast enough and exciting enough to watch as it is? An indoor televised version could be cool but at the minuite plenty of people(especially myself) get shot out in the first few mins or even seconds of the game (MYSELF INCLUDED), so compress the playing area, reduce the number of players and you'll have games with max lengths of around 5 mins. Not only making repetitive viewing, but may put off some prospective players, especially those making the recball transition. Personally i don't think its a good option to take but as it has been said, it is in the early stages. Look forward to any developments
