Styles, I was just pickin' at ya', it's okay!

I agree, Bud, I love all paintballers, from renegade to pro tourney. I just don't want to read about some guy I don't even know, telling rec stories. If they were funny, or had a moral, or if they were suspenseful, or just plain entertaining in some way, that would rock. Maybe the problem is that I keep saying rec stories. I assure you, there are an equal amount of boring-ass tourney stories out there, so if they had some tourney guy telling his snore-a-thons, I'd complain about that too. My point is, why are these guys interesting? Why would someone want to read about them? What's their angle, why are they unique? Watch this, I'm going to answer my own question. These guys aren't unique, they're regular Joe Schmoes off the street who love paintball, and that's the angle. I see it! I see the angle, and my point is, who cares!?!

That's all, I just needed to rant, and that felt pretty good. No disrespect to any players featured there, it's kinda' neat to get a whole page dedicated to just you, I'm sure. And for all of you who enjoy the J.S. articles, that's cool, I would've found it fascinating at one time myself, probably moreso than most. I would've wanted to know what this guy was shooting, I would've wanted to hear the boring stories only because they were about paintball. It's just not interesting anymore. It seems like all these fella's stories need to end with,"Well, you just had to be there." There ya' go Styles, I'm really not trying to piss anyone off, it's just my stupid opinion. If you like it, then kick-ass, I won't think less of you, it's just, as always, my crappy opinion.;)

I can see what you're getting at guys. And I totally agree that the bloke in the Feb issue literally is a 'Joe Schmoe' and I recond it's just a waste of space. But they did have an awesome black dude in it a couple of months back with a sniper rifle, clip instead of a hopper, proper sight monted on the rifle, walkie talkies with hand's free earpieces - developing some kinda glow in the dark tracer paintball!!!. All that kinda cool crap. I enjoy seeing some of the wacky modifications that some rec-ballers put into their equipment - it get's you thinking and re-focusses your mind on paintball to see it from different peoples perspective. We're not all in it for the tourney scence - and there's plenty of tourney stuff in each issue of PGI. - Not that I'm complaining, I love reading that too!:D

With all respect, JoeSchmoe ain't really aimed at you guys - and you know that really. Recballers love reading about other recballers, and there are far more of them that tourney ballers. As a recballer, it would be quite inspirational to see just some ordinary guy like yourself getting his pic in a mag. And yes, the guy in Feb really was a Joeshchmoe, but that's the whole point. They're just as fanatical as tourney players, they just don't play on teams. We have a lot of recball readers, and they love this page. To be honest, with the amount of tourney coverage we really do the majority of our readers a major disservice.

And I can't believe you'd rather have an ad than a page of editorial!! That's why we pride ourselves over the likes of APG - they just fill pages with ads and the occasional crappy article in between

So there. I'm thinking of putting the next JoeSchmoe guy on the cover. He has a tactical vest, camo facepaint and steel toecap boots. I think we've come too far from our roots and need to get back to them

I an't having a pop, and i've only ever played rec'ball. What i am saying is that the latest guy in the article was nuffing special over any other rec'baller i play with / see. Where as i thought the section was dedicated to guys who have really taken the time to kit themselves out to look the part ala' dec 01.

Wot No Schmoe?

I love Joe Schmoe! That crazy ass kicking bunch of ass kickers really makes my day every month. Joe Schmoe reminds us all of what we once were, before we went playing tourneys.
I guess to some people that's a scary thought. :p

But I do agree with some people wanting to see more crazy stuff, instead of just the dude with the Automag. Rec-ballers with extreme mods and weird equipment. That would be fun.

The Starship Trooper in the december(?) issue definitely stole the crown in that department thus far.
Keep 'em coming!

Hear hear!! Show us the Schmoe!! LOL :D

I agree though it should be those - 'special schmoes' who have put in the effort to all their kewl equipment and stuff (s'pose they wouldn't be so schmoey if they were special would they??!! )
Ahh well, keep up the good work guys - just try make sure the guys are kinda interesting, weird and wacky!!

Alex :D

Dudes, even though you're against me on the whole Schmoe thing, you've definitely proven to me it's value. I knew what it was there for, I was just being opinionated, I do that sometimes.;)

Anthony, I still don't want to read the dang thing, and you can put them on every cover, I won't be broken!
