is the etek ego really that price?

The etek does have a spring in the trigger bu the one cookie shot didn't..

Please believe me this is a marker in its own right i shot a sl66 cause i like to look pimp but my god did the etek rip..

We used it today at training and its just so consistent.

Didnt get a chance to shoot it yesterday. Should have had a go really.

Looked like a real quality item. A no nonsense ripping machine

Trust me, these things still shoot fast as hell, as proved yesterday.

Probably would not say its better or worse than an 05. Just simplified basically.....

Shot the ETEK at Northern Quarter yesterday

I wouldnt say its worth saying "is it better then the 05 / 06 / SL" whatever an EGO is an EGO is an EGO
they all have little bits different that a cost dependant they all mow and are all make to high spec, look the nuts and are reliable and consistent out the box.

Like I said to Fish (thanks for letting me use the gun btw) its just another top notch gun and i couldnt see anything "wrong" with it at all. The LED display looks the nuts - like the Tadao and Virtue conbined (3 lots of leds each with 7 or so different colours!). Looked very easy to program, and the trigger guard itself was great - VERY big so loads of space.

All the ETEK means is that a lot more players will start getting on board the good ship planet a lot earlier seeing as perhaps in the past they couldnt justify £800+ on an eclipse marker.

Theres nothing in the spec of the marker to detract from any quality or performance at all its just a stripped down machine that kicks ass.
If I wasnt already shooting an 06 id happily pick one up.


note - one of the things people seem to be picking up on is this QEV issue - gotta remember that timmies were at one time classed as practically the fastest marker out and they had barbs not QEVs. Its just a little thing removed to cut the costs for the player.
