Alright you two, that's it! No more thread-jack. Plainly nobody is interested in the original subject but I don't care.
Oh, sorry.

We just spent the '03 season with competing promotors and a million formats with what seems like a couple dozen "champs" of this that and the other. Is that a move forward? If so, where's it taking us?
PSP definitely needs to whittle things down some. Whether that means making it all X-Ball, I don't know. If it were me I wouldn't have opened up Division 1 & 2 X-Ball in the first place, maybe have an exhibition at Cup (in place of the 5-man) and one other place during the season for teams outside NXL but that's it. Strange should've been given a one year franchise deferment for NXL.

And what about 10-man? Lots of love is still proclaimed for 10-man but looks like it's getting treated the same way the anorak-wearing guys carrying clubs treat baby seals up in the Great North.
Hate to see it go. I don't even want to see them try to shoe-horn 57 novice, 45 rookie, and 24 pro-am teams in with the existing divisional X-Ball teams. By the way those numbers above are the totals for the year, not averages for a given event (didn't feel like figuring that out).
On the other hand to continue with 3 different X-Ball divisions (4 if they keep the rookies), 2 divisions in 5-man, and 3 divisions in 10-man is just a mess. If they can find a way to create some continuity all the better, but as it stands there isn't any IMO.

Could they not follow team in either the NPPL or MS for every event, and film them in the hotel, on the planes, in the prelims, semis and finlas. It would make great watching if they chose to follow a team that would make for great viewing.
Kind of like what PB2X did with Staying Power last year, but only 10 million times better, huh?
