ion upgrades

hmm, low balls are never apreicated

Though the annoying thing about ION users, is they upgrade there IONs to the point where its exactly suited to them, and then start lookin at EGO's, Shockers, PM's DM's etc. Then they want to sell, i know not everyone wants to buy £500 worth of kit straight away, but i wish ION users wouldnt upgrade to a massive extent unless they really want to use an ION. I love IONs, but it breaks my heart when a kid puts £200 into an ION and then sells for half that.
Agreed, I think more than anything they are in love with the idea of another marker, and all the hype it promises.

Funnily enough - so am I ;). That V2 frame sounds way too tempting to miss
Darn it we cant both lowball him at once... ;)
BTW mate Im out of the country in a few days so if you still want the bolt LMK.

Also, i think first time buyers would look into the PMR, MINI and ......the Epiphany *sigh*. So if any people who are thinking of gettin IONs are reading, do some research into other guns, all the above are around £250

ion!

i have a virtue bought from blister paintball ebay shop for £60!
i also have a lovely ndz roller bearing trigger but to be honest to make the ion trigger a lot better take the trigger out of the the frame (pop the pin from the side without the on/off button otherwise it will damage the frame and pin!!) then take the magnet out of the trigger that wil make the trigger a lot nicer failing that get a ndz!) if you go onto the gearedup-uk.com forums and look at the renegades area i think it is you can see a pic of my ion modded up to the max! it looks sick and there is no way i will ever get rid of her!!)

hmm, was thinkin, an upped ION compared to a custom built ION

1.) On/Off and S-Rail system £26
2.) Q-Lock £26
3.) Freak Barrel £40
4.) Black Heart Board £65
5.) Redz trigger £20
6.) Dynasty Body kit £25
7.) Firebolt £18
8.) QEV £13
9.)laser eyes £11.75

correct me if im wrong on the prices

total = £245 (all at retail)

Then a stock ION = £140

Total cost of an upped ION = £385

Now, a custom ION

Stage 5.1 £100
Element V2 Frame £90
T board £45
Lucky barrel £29
CP reg £35
SP on/off £14
SP pro touch grips £14
screw kit £5
Macro line £3
Banjos £5
QEV £13
VP Sythe trigger £23
Stage 1 V3 bolt £28

Total = £404

£20 worth of difference, hmm, which would you choose, i know what i would...

Me again!

Just to follow on from ION_CRAZY, I say buy a Lucky 5.1 when they hit the UK, then a decent frame, trigger and board, plus barrel and Inline reg, plus your usual fittings and completely bypass Smartparts altogether!

Then you end up with a decent(ish) gun and be happy in the knowledge that you don't own a SP POS.

;)
