QEV = chopping

I have had two Ions, no chops, worked great whatsoever. Then installed QEV's, dwell at 11, pressure 140 - 150, detents are fine. I've tried different balls, chops like mad.

So, maybe you are doing something differently, but I'm not using QEV's anymore, not worth the mess.

ive installed personally qev's on 3 Ions in our squad now. mines running a dwell of 15 and about 140 or so going in (not sure as the stupid guage paper has spun). none of them have had any chops, alot more efficient on air and easier to shoot quickly.

check the front o-ring just before the barrel and after the detents. that being bust was a problem with shockers, maybe the same with your ion???

sounds more like a case (look what i did there) of ****e paint.

I've tested fresh draxxus blaze, Proto darts, RPS Evil, Zap Chronic, Zap amp etc, so I doubt, that's the case. Oh, and the sft o-rings are fine with both my ions

Yeah, that's true. But I've tested dwell from 8 to 11 (11 didn't give any drop off), and didn't work. Maybe I'm just out of luck :(. Well without QEVs my Ions are working extremely well.

The gas vents from in front of the bolt faster making it travel forward faster making it rougher on pansy paint :D

So yes, I can believe conseivably it WOULD cause problems - just saying that in practice it never has for us.

Also it's worth bearing mind that 8 dwell is highly like to give you FSDO whereas at 11 you're very unlikely to get it
