scars is normally more helpful than that - honest :)

OK - any leaks anywhere? What pressure do you have in your bottle, what pressure is the gauge on the Ion reading and have you tried a new battery?

Let me know and I'llbe able to help more...

PS In my experience, the people who hate Ions most are the ones who know least about them... ;)

its true - but im no good with ion's - the nightmare stories i hear about them coming out of factory completely untested - missing LP Hosing - sketchy warrenty and the typical SP trick of not including an LPR is enough for me to steer clear

your other option is to try toy R us:p

Whet does the input pressure read on the dial at the top of the regulator? if it is reading nil then try winding in the reg - it wants to be sitting around the 140 psi input pressue.

If it still wont fire and ure sure that air is getting into the gun then check ure dwell settings.

Straight out the factory the dwell should be at about 52 up from the bottom - to check this cycle throught the adjustments on the board till you get to dwell down, once there take it all the way down till it stops flashin when u press the on/off button. now cycle through the modes again till you get to dwell up and then go up 52 flashes.

If that still doesnt do it mate bring it to Warped in Wolvo and we will have a look at it for you.

^^ What he said...

Scars, understood, mate. I think the Ion is a superbly designed and well-thought-out gat but I wouldn't wish SP's customer service/quality control on my worst enemy.

The lack of an LPR is a great idea. Why make it unnecessarily complicated? The more regs you put air through, the less consistent it can be, and the more things there are to go wrong. The Ion is essentially - when you trim it all down - a small metal bar inside an electro magnet that blocks off a hole. KISS at it's best. The Ion rocks - and though I understood the question marks about its logevity (ie; was it made out of cheese?) our team's used them all season with no probs whatsoever.

Don't get me wrong, though - it's fun to be cynical - I'm the same about Scary Movie 1, 2 & 3

Ok not putting an LPR on a gun reduces weight but compare an impulse (wonder marker but another culpritt for having no LPR) to say a Matrix?

Now hands up how many folk have been put to the wrath of SP because their gun p1sses gas from the grip frame which coinsidentily is where your solenoid is... ive blown 2 myself..

not saying there a troublesome marker - there a cheaply made gun that do their job - but i would personally add £50 and buy a bushmaster personally.
